http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3066665?cm_ ... erralID=NA if you collect kaws and like kiehl's this is for you
My wife uses this stuff...That price isn't even marked up, that's how much it costs normally. Seems like a weird product/crossover to me though.
His whole geometric shapes floating in space works suck. I did the same exact thing (- the mickey hands) my freshman year for a 2-d Design class and my instructor told me it sucked. And you know what he was right, I knew it sucked too, I was just too lazy to put the time into creating and executing a decent idea.
Well if you added the Mickey hands you would have been a genius, and made millions by now. If only you knew then what you know now.
Wait, so people are pissed off a product not marked up has a kaws designed label to put profits to charity? WTF.
I was just saying they didn't mark it up (b/c it was kaws, or limited or whatever), which is a good thing. The charity part is also a good thing.
I think we couldn't care less about the cream, really, just think Kaws' newer artistic direction is to our disliking.
Kiehls is cool. My wife uses their stuff, and it's all really high quality for a reasonable price (expensive compared to the stuff you get at Target, but cheaper than a lot of the "designer" stuff). Charities for kids are also cool, and I guess a charity to put art in pediatric hospitals is a good idea. It would probably get boring to be stuck in some hospital with only a bunch of faded old dolphin posters or something. But man, that bottle is ugly.
i was on the fence with this new style canvases, but as a label on soft goods??? ...cant ask for more. like it. would make my day each morning when seeing these in the bathroom.
I saw this in one of my wifes fashion mags over the weekend. It's cool that it's for charity. But to anyone who is thinking, "I'll buy some and not use it". You may come unstuck, as Kiehl's is all natural and will go off after about a year. I kind of like the way he's done his work on something that clearly won't last forever, so you have to use it. Or your left with a load of rotting body cream..........mmmmmm, nice.
If you don't like the cream you can buy the crayons and coloring book.... The coloring book includes a ton of contemporary artists like Ed Ruscha and Takashi Murakami...
I really like the coloring book (and the price is good too). And I agree with others, while this direction of his art is not all that exiting, my wife uses the Kiehl's stuff anyway, and it's for charity, so why not?
i checked out the coloring book yesterday. It's pretty great, that's for sure. I also bought some Christmas gifts and ended up getting the kaws shopping bag which I thought was nice. It is for charity, we shouldn't complain about a product that is doing some good in the world.
