Somebody post pics of the Bakular termites (especially those cute and creepy parababies)! Fun thread!
^^ Whhaaaaaaa? I have never seen that Corgi spider in my life before, but now I think I might just need it. And could the name be any more perfect? Thanks @doomboy, the last thing I really need right now is more vintage toy rabbitholes and targets to seek out. PS - Full nerd for a moment, a spider is really not a 'true bug' (generally reserved for Hemiptera or Heteroptera). But I approve of this message all the same
Yeah I know a spider isn't a 'bug' but thought Boris was too cool not to join in. My mate was nicknamed Boris for some unknown reason after this game. Like the Purple People Eater , Boris has a special place in my childhood memories. Although I never owned or played with either .
Absolutely, 100% am happy that you posted it, too. Made my day that much better, and I am happier for knowing it is out there. Outside of the 'obvious' target, we have an adopted outdoor cat (well, he's adopted us at any rate) that is called Boris, so definitely one that strikes close to the heart for me.
Anyone else a fan of “Rocks & Bugs & Things”from the 80s? They were pretty amazing, remember getting them from Osco Drugs in ABQ.
Heck YES!! This remains - to this day - one of my favourite ever toylines, Jeremi. And as someone who had exposure to all the best toys that the 70s and 80s had to offer, secondhand or not (and that was the span of all the major properties) I think this says a lot. I have many, many times lamented how difficult they are now to get outside of the US, and the unfortunately incredible prices people demand for them. The RB&T is just my absolute goal, and I have carried these childhood dreams of owning them with me for decades like an albatross around the neck. I don't think it'll ever happen, much like having a complete Kraken figure, but the wish lives on. Sorry for gushing and moderate derail, but I could go on about RB&T for ages.
The Mordles from Rocks and Bugs and Things are still going at at Toyfinity: https://glyos.fandom.com/wiki/Mordles
