TIGER - Hardcore from Osaka! I got to travel around with the vocalist, Kizuku, while on tour around Japan with my friend’s band, and saw TIGER play on the last day of tour. Great dudes, great band.

Ice T/Body Count did a fantastic job with this tribute to Suicidal Tendencies.

I had no idea that this version existed until today..

@noeleaser You should give that whole album a listen. "Manslaughter" is a great album, all the way through. Lots of classic "rapcore" style that Body Count is known for, but lots of newer New York hardcore influences, too.

Y’know I actually got this cd when I was 10 (~24 years ago) and I have yet to see the movie. Might have to watch it just cuz, now.

@Anti Social Andy The title track is still one of the best and heaviest collaboration tracks I’ve ever heard. This soundtrack blew me away when I was a kid ‘cause I didn’t even think it was “allowed” to have genres like this mix.

I’m very familiar with this album, I remember when it came out and I have to agree, the soundtrack is much better than the movie. That collab with Biohazard and Onyx is absolutely killer! Also the fact that my favorite band of all time, Dinosaur Jr, did a tune with Del is pretty awesome as well.

I was/am a huge fan of most of the bands in that soundtrack plus I was very immersed in Hip Hop. It made for a killer album all around. That album came out a year after I graduated high school so I was already pretty well-versed in my musical tastes. The fact that Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, Biohazard, Slayer and Helmet all appear on it was mind blowing back then... Considering I grew up in our from New York City, I actually had the privilege of seeing most of those bands live back in their heyday.

Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll give it a try. I’m a huge fan of NYHC and I went to countless shows back in the day. From War Zone to Youth Of Today to Judge and Sick Of It All, I’ve seen them all.. Also a huge fan of Burn, Absolution, Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Sheer Terror... I could go on all day.. lol..

I’ll let you know what I think of it.

@noeleaser Goddamn great list of bands, man. Especially War Zone, Quicksand and Judge. This BC album is a bit more on the Madball/Biohazard vibe with some metal influence.
