Various international websites are blaming the Trump administration for this news. Hardly surprising, everyone knows Trump hates 'losers' who buy foreign toys. He's trying to make American toys great again, didn't you know? Get with the program, buddy.

In a weird kind of way, this isn't terrible news for me personally. One of the reasons I'd consider staying in the US longer-term instead of looking for work elsewhere is the relative ease of buying dolls. But if everything I get from Japan costs $60 shipping minimum, it would work out cheaper to collect somewhere else anyway

Unfucking believable. It's getting real old real fast waking up every morning to latest news of this filthy administration's latest plans to "MAGA".

Yes, the USPS is a broken business on life support badly in need of a lifeline to remain sustainable... but (as the article mentioned) this is nothing more than another tit-for-tat move in the never-ending 'trade war' with China.

Extreme to say, but my only hope is that looming recession kicks in sooner than later and wakes these Trump supporters up from the fever dream they've been living in before next November.

It's going to take decades to unwind all the policies and environmental rollbacks these vultures have set in place. I shudder to think of the catastrophic damage this nation (and the world at large) will suffer should that clown get another 4 years in office.
