No & no - just small venues and not too much mayhem in front of the stage...

beast looks like a cross between a dog and a lion...it is a dog, isn't it?

I know that I'm WAY late to HDR, but I just learned how to do it recently and here is my first attempt:

Also, here's a recent low light/flashpainting shot taken at Burnside Bridge at Antietam National Battlefield:

Since Matt used to be a member here (bird or prey).
I'm guessing this is a tribute to Hideshi's bug boy.

Just saw (online) this exhibit by Doug Rickard from the Yossi Milo Gallery. A very interesting look at an impoverished urban life we so seldom get exposure to [i.e. by mainstream sources]. Some of these could be taken right out of The Corner/The Wire for their grittiness. Strangely enough, it seems these images were composed from Street View pics, but I don't think that makes them any less poignant.

I'm really getting into Macro photography so yesterday me and the missus went in search of small insects around the neighborhood. It's tough with a crappy little Panasonic compact point and shoot but I have to say the 8x optical zoom works well once you get close up. Only problem you have is if the actual insect will stay still long enough for you to capture it! With mostly bees and predatory wasps so busy getting pollen and killing small insects it's not too hard. Captured this Green Sweat Bee:

It's broadening my insect knowledge as well, since someday I'll be in the field.

    Beautiful shot, Chris.

Craziest thing about sweat bees, at least the ones that took up residence in an old yard of mine, is that they nest underground rather than building a hive! I'd never heard of such a thing before I lived it. Bane of that summer, as they loved my salty brow!

This little guy was hanging out with me a recent rainy shoot:

Lixx, those macro shots are wonderful!

Tooth, those are great as well, hypnotoad is what I end up thinking of.

Here's a bit more from me.
