The fugliest toys you have seen while collecting.

Its all 10 year old me wanted and more, finally a GWAR toy. America's first Kaiju band if you wanna call it that, they used all the classic Kaiju costume methods for those rubber suits!

 

It's Gwar, it's supposed to be fugly. I wonder if the Cuttlefish of Cthulhu can detach.

 

A lot of us here in Richmond that've had a band since the 80s grew up with the Gwar crew.
My band shared a practice space with them in the early 90s, and one of our guys toured with them playing drums.
I almost got this toy for nostalgic reasons, but nahhh

I don't have the nostalgia, same goes for Kiss and Manowar.

None of them had much impact on British metal heads. Too theatrical and over the top, like Queen.

 

Maybe Super7 will “ultimate” the Gwar stuff. Seems like it would work if it had an old-school he-man vibe? I wasn’t a fan of Gwar, but it could be nice to see.

 

I always felt the best way to do Gwar is some small and simple format where you can get the whole band at once, like finger puppets.

There was a Gwar action figure in the works while a while ago, but it was being handled by the infamous Shocker Toys. They never actually shipped any plastic toys, just resin castings of a prototype. And it wasn't even Oderus, it was Beefcake.

 

I LOVE the drawing. And the toy is, well, kind of satisfying.

 

So I haven't been on this thread in months, and All I can thank, is Instagram and its algorithm for hiding these things from my eyes. While i'm not as super active on IG or SB anymore, I try to stay up to date with the happenings, but lord I am so happy IG is not letting me see this utter shit.

 

Mm. yes, it does take a particular type of person to seek out the fugly. That photo was from a Facebook group. The admins gave me a bollocking for swearing once, because its supposed to be a 'family friendly' group, so i'm not sure how Mr. Robo-cock got past their attention!

The only one to cause concern! I've seen several 'custom' Norman the last few months, they all look sticky like fly paper. That GID is a classic, it shouldn't be messed with.

 

Sex on toys doesnt provoke nearly as much reactions of disgust as those stuffs do. Definitely my personal favorite in the fugly work.
I hope mutantman is working on political figure as robots too. It's would be so edgy and such and such. I can see a Putin with a the robot suit given a rainbow treatment... Maybe I should start my own customs...
