The cat is just more gross shock value, but the paint job isn’t terrible... they do have some concept of color theory. That Freddy Krueger thing though, I’m convinced the person who painted that is at least partially colorblind. The colors clash SO badly, and the flat color against the metallic paint just looks all wrong.
If people would just stop it with the rainbow vomit already, these ugly toys wouldn’t be as ugly as they are now.

I'm not sure what you're point is. Fugly gold is fugly gold and it can stand to be repeated, just like all the repeated fan boy arse licking in other threads. These are expensive dollies we're talking about, do we really have to search through 108 pages just to be sure a dayglo vomit slathered piece of plastic-shit has (or hasn't) been posted before? Its really not worth it ...

This instantly reminds me of all the early 2000 nu metal bands that cropped up. Tons of people loved it but looking back it was pretty trash and now don’t want to be associated with it. In this case, someone thought tons of people would want this and in the end it was maybe 4 collectors?

Simple paint app woulda done these dudes some good for sure, tokyo seems nice and buggy.

 

i kind of dont hate the middle paint app :/ i actively seek out classic paint sprays for my personal collection but i find it kind of cool when artists take it a little further. they wont all be home runs but i appreciate the effort! its when they throw in every application possible that it gets so unbearable fugly in my opinion

 

It used to be so difficult and time consuming to make a toy. Now everyone has one. Love this thread.

 

I remember following users on IG and watching them slowly make a sculpt, put so much work into it, struggle to find a sofubi factory that takes new customers, finally find one but they need to wait a few months... the test pulls come, they carefully choose different colors to order, they test a paint app for the first run...
It was really a labor of love, and you’d be lucky to make back the amount you paid for the molds. It was for the love of toys.

Now it’s shit out a sculpt, doesn’t matter if it looks like shit because that’s what people like these days... send it off to China or mayyybe Japan, get the pieces back, slap on some vomit, sell for $500 through an “eXcLuSiVe LoTtErY” which requires you to endlessly spam the lotto pic... collect the money and laugh your way to the bank as the value of your toy tanks to 1/4th the original price on Mandarake.

While I love that there are more people who enjoy this hobby, some people should just not ever touch toy production.

Yeah, i did wonder why RxH kept appearing in the tags. It just looks like a janky 'Street Shark' with another arbitrary face in its belly to me. Its more fugly than not.
