Some members brought up the point that they collect stuff that nobody else cares about - toys that hardly anybody else has on their shelves, not because they are rare but because they aren't very popular to begin with. Figured a thread devoted to those pieces in your collection that you're personally amped about but nobody else would bat an eyelid over could be pretty interesting... soft vinyl, action figures, weird obscure keshi, your favourite McDonald's toy that you've kept from your childhood, cereal box premiums... let's see what kind of unimpressive, non-hyped toys Skullbrainers value just as much as their first Zagoran ;)

I honestly think the Violence Toy "Gorelords" don't get enough credit.

    - Bigger that M.U.S.C.L.E figures
    - Available in original flesh or multi-colored
    - 3 to a pack
    - Awesome blister box
    - Easy to get
    - TWELVE FUCKING DOLLARS

With all the easy money flooding into this hobby, it's nice to buy something awesome, easy to get, and cheap.

I'm defiantly into this thread idea! This past week I have undergone surgery and currently finishing up a move so I'll get some New pics of some of these and other things but for now I absolutely love finding these balls! They are for sure a bootleg madball as they are from the same era as the original but the ones I collect are about 2" / Hard Plastic & came from vending machines. I still have one from when I was a little guy.

I don't have to many but I find them from time to time at local fleas and tag sales. The paint is usually worn off but that to me gives them character and the colors they came in were awesome. A few different versions ( boot legs of bootlegs ) exist but the real guys have a small trademark logo on the back and a Name for each character. Also the detail in the sculpts are awesome for the size. Most of the others just say "made in China" those are cool too but not as much detail and a lighter more fragile plastic was used.

I don't know much else about them except I love them and when I find one, it's like I won the lotto haha.

Post pictures of the cool underground shit that no one knows about so everyone can hop on board and make 'em as hard to get as all the other hyped-up shit . . . Skulldrain logic never fails to impress! :D

LMAO! Double 'like'. No one really wants to draw people to what they collect anymore if it's already not well known. It equates to shooting yourself in the foot.

But yeah it's easy flickr = pics of unhyped toys, instagram = pics of hyped toys.

That's kind of a paranoid reaction don't you think?

I doubt people are gonna be posting WANT! NEED! over the fluro coloured Hot Wheels toys I picked up for $1 at Target last week or this cool Spider-Man figure that I found on the shelves. Homecoming looks like a piece of shit, largely due to that ugly title/logo design but this homemade Ben Reilly style Spidey costume was pretty cool to find out in the wild for $10.

Now excuse me while I go rush out to every toy shop to buy up this mass-produced figure because you know now that it's been talked about on Skullbrain it's gonna be hot shit to flip over on ebay...

My Mom gave me this exact set, when I was a sprout in the 70's. Yes, they are made in Japan, and these sorts of toys were easily found in Chinatown, when I was growing up. I loved these toys! Can't seem to find the set my Mom gave me, so I was absolutely thrilled when this set came up on an auction a couple of weeks ago. They are brand new (!!!), found in an old warehouse. This makes me exceedingly happy! :)

You would be surprised with how many ppl are like that with Hot Wheels especially here in the USA. They go to brick and mortar stores early in the morning daily looking for the newest hot wheel sets and snag the rarest shit they can find or if its a color they do not have in there collection they buy it up. A lot of them are the same ppl sometimes to. Trust me when i say iv seen this first hand. Its happened when Kmart has had there K Day Hot Wheels collectors toy events in the past as well.

Bought these at a boot-sale and i love 'em. They are from a Korean animation called 'Mashimaro'.
Never saw them before, never seen them again since.

I have them lined-up on my amplifier.

It's resin, by motorbot back after the first guardians movie. No hype, I just love this little guy tho...

Also, not sure why this guy doesn't get more love when Keronga and Cojiyarus do, but I also love this Kamengo. Still waiting on a painted release of these. Just blanks and rubs so far other than a few one offs.

I have the same orange one as above. It compliments the sculpt really well and ups his cute factor somehow.

Great shot with the oranges by the way, @chimply.kaiju. Someone needs to take a pic of this version with the orange King Kamempa.
