I just got mine in the mail. I'll post photos when my Gorilla Biscuits jacket comes and I sew it and 234562345 other patches on to it.

Really nice quality on these.

Any tips for attaching one to something made of nylon/polyester? A little worried about melting the jacket.

This a bit off track, but I find this really fascinating and I feel compelled to share this at every opportunity availability to me. So, somehow I found this site that sells prefab metal battle vests, with all the patches and spikes, etc. attached for you. They've got several styles, and they range from $250 to $350. It is just so very bizarre, seeing as it completely subverts the whole point of the things. Weird stuff.

Only serious about that being a bizarre item for someone to be selling. I mean, what happens when you're at a Cannibal Corpse show and you spot someone across the pit with the exact same vest you have on?

But that thread is precisely how I ended up on that site. Totally forgot about that.

EDIT: Also, since that's a 9 page thread, I'm assuming you guys eventually got around to ridiculing the vests?

 

Buying a prefab vest just means you shouldn't even be wearing it in the first place. Goes against everything they stand for, really.

In related news, got my patch the other day and love it. May have to go out and get a new vest to sew it on to. My Gwar stained one is getting a little cluttered.

 

Exactly. I'd really love to know if anyone has actually ever even bought one. I mean, I've lost a lot of faith in humanity, but this is just a new level contemptibility/idiocy.
