The scan quality is great. The printing looks really good, although I think it would have looked a lot better on glossy pages, but for a self publish that cost would have been pretty high. The pages are almost all full page ads so it's much better than many of the JP books which are small in size and have several insets per page. I can't imagine you wouldn't love it given what you've posted here. It is full of great stuff. I 100% recommend it. I love my copy. Has a nice write up about the author's path to it in the front and some small info/thoughts boxes inset below images so it's mostly filled with clean ads.

Those are by far the best scans I've ever seen of that Takara SF Catalog. It's awesome because it has so much prototype stuff in it and items that never saw the light of day.

Great finds Moog, this thread is the treasure trove that just keeps on giving, thanks to your hard efforts. The Microman/Takara shares are truly joyous for me to see, but I know a few people who would revel at seeing those Gatchaman spreads. It is great to see the lineup of all the nodders together, and the vintage vehicles are right up my alley too.

We had a brief conversation about Sofubi pendants on the old thread and i copied the pictures that Ultrakaiju /Scobot posted
and transferred them to this new thread. This Japanese blog has used those images and linked to the old thread.

Another fantastic trove of ads Moog! And quite a few toys there I have never seen too. I love the coverage of the jumbos especially, I could just look at an entire book of jumbo machinder toys all day long. And plenty more excellent robots there too with the Diaclone and Captain Harlock ads. Ah, if only these were toy catalogues I could order from! I can imagine my Santa's wish list now....
