New People Mall opens this weekend (near S7?)

where the hell is this? is it just down the way from New Minny's (or whatever that old Dennys was called). Sounds interesting.

Yea, I'm curious to check it out this weekend.
It's that building w/ all glass walls in front that they've been building up.
I heard there's going to be a maid cafe.

 

hey... ain't nothing wrong with having someone to play rock, paper, scissors with before a meal!

 

i didn't think the maid cafes in akihabara had rock paper scissors games, but that does sound like good clean fun

 

well.. the one i went to, the played PS3, some game with a man in the barrel that you stick swords in, rock paper scissors, etc. they also had a bell you could ring to summon the maids. very bizarre experience (especially since i don't know what the hell they were saying)

 

Wow! Im super excited for this! Ill be in SF Sat anyway, Ill definetly have to stop by New People and check it out.

it's directly across from the Benihana...a few doors down from the old bowling alley.

 

Sounds interesting. I think we're going to try and hit the theater for some 20th Century Boys on Friday the 21st.

 

I don't think I'd go on the opening day of this place. There's going to be way too many kids which should be perfect for rhino
still...the building itself looks pretty cool and i'm pretty anxious to see what it all looks like when it is completed.

Baby The Stars Shine Bright was in a movie a few years ago called Kamikaze Girls. It stars Kyoko Fukada and Anna Tsuchiya. I kinda enjoyed that movie. I will definitely be checking out the gallery:

 

I'd probably only go for the Viz Cinema depending on what's showing. Still, cool to see.
