Then you sir, are definitely missing out. Sure most of his films aren't very good, but he had a good run in the 70's and 80's.

I've seen Woody Allen movies I did not get at all. But Annie Hall and Whatever Works are amazing movies. Larry David being Neurotic in a Woody Allen movie is a dream come true.

But hey, if you've made it this long, why break the streak now?

A Prophet just went to instant view this week. It's one of the best films of 2009 (2010 in some regions of the world)

A Prophet is an amazing film! I'm glad Netflix was able to make it available for instant play.

Unfortunately the Mesrine movies aren't available here in the US and evidently due to some rights dispute, there's currently no USA DVD/BD release scheduled. Shoulda seen them in the theater when I had the chance, but I'm sure they'll turn up here eventually.

I'd strongly recommend "Restrepo," Sebastien Junger's film made while embedded with a US Army platoon in Afghanistan. One of the best war documentaries ever.

They're coming to Netflix instant in Febuary.

Dean, both your recommendations are spot on. Restrepo was amazing and both Mesrine films are fantastic. Vincent Cassel may be at his best in those films which is saying something for an actor as talented and has taken as many great roles as he has.

Trick R Treat was just added to instant play, could've used that around Halloween! Love that movie, very much an 80's throwback style, much like myself.

Normally I'd be "ehhhhh" when getting a movie like this recommended to me, but I found this movie very entertaining (a friend who claims me and him rage pretty hard day to day):

'Rampage' doesn't set the acting bar too high but if you've had a bad day at work it's pleasant to watch. Come on we all want to go postal at one time or another right? The twist at the end is pretty nice too. I watched it on Project Free TV.

I'm struggling to get through "Rampage" but I'll stick with it. You're right about the acting (not quite as bad as in "Skyline" though) but I haven't gotten to the actual rampage yet.

Thanks for the link to Trick R Treat! Missed that one in the theaters.

"The Horseman" watch it if you like revenge flicks...Peter Marshall is frickin awesome.. Brutal and Violent as hell!

Make sure it's the Aussie exploitation flick he's talking about and not 'The Horsemen' with Dennis Quaid which sucks a huge dick. One very good revenge film, one a bad Hollywood film about the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Yup, the Aussie exploitation flick indeed...Thanks for that clarification AladdinSane...I never really watch to much Hollywood shit myself..

    pretty darn good.
can anyone confirm which subtitles are used?
the first dvd edition that everyone hated or the newer/theater version?

    this movie is great!

Run to your houses, fall upon your knees,
Pray to the gods to intermit the plague
That needs must light on this ingratitude.
