it's been great seeing the evolution of the figure, and the backstory behind it. Can't wait to see how it comes to life in vinyl!

Pumped to hear news of a mini version on IG. Also, at the risk of sounding like a huge geek, this made me really happy:

Sorry that your sarcasm doesn’t translate via the inter-webs.

Well if you believe that ANYONE couldn't see the connection between the two toys within an instant then that's more your problem than mine @useless toys ... also I didn't know you were so insensitive to colour-blind people!! For shame you monster

Maybe more a reminder, than news to you but it has been talked about in several SB threads over the years.

Here is the vintage IKB header card, which shows the names beside the monsters:

Aside from this, IKB made tons and tons of other dolls and that being said it is not too hard to image what their monster would have looked like.

I know you have great affection for the Bemon brand but with so many original sculpts under your belt, it seems to fall short to call it by the same name as used by Honda.

In some respect it seems like Honda did what you are now doing, your own take on a mythical beast. I am certain this will be your best seller, so why not fully make it your own?

Hence my point on the name.

    MVH POLLUTION MONSTER

Has such a nice ring to it.

The toxic waste barrel omake is great, have you ever seen the header art painted by Mark Nagata for the red vinyl TE version Maxtoy release?

    Glenn and Ed,

I consider both of you friends and on top of that very passionate collector's of grown man baby dolls. I wish sincerely I could buy both of you a beer, or 3.

    We're all in this together.

Love the demented facial expression. This is easily your most animated and mature design to date @Rich. Hands are great too! Well done!

Thanks man, yes this all make sense and well put. I apprecitae the time to help with this history and all. Definitely makes me reconsider a rename now that’s is put like this. Since mine revoles around nuclear waste and pollution maybe something more geared toward this.

This is the reason why I love having these conversations. It’s a help to me and the community. I do enjoy naming my own stuff, but there is something special about being able to take opinions from the actual collector community and putting it to action. It always feels special to me when something I never considered is way better than what I came up with and used.

What better compliment could a "grown man baby doll collector" ask for? This is one of the best sentences I've read on hear in awhile, made me literally laugh out loud. Thank you @kichigai

What's all this damn positive?? I come to skullbrain for toys and flame-wars! Hahaha, all jokes aside, good points @kichigai
It's cool seeing the IKB header art and diving deeper into the lore behind this character. It's easy to see the admiration and respect for such a great design, from the first images on art to the first toys, to newer incarnations.

defo a cool evolution of the Bemon toy and original header.
an 'activated' version just as it has realised its malignant intent, meltdown alert.

    @Rich

I've always been curious about the wide flat base of my mixed parts kougai toy. I also have a couple of Bear Model toys with similar chunky bodies with 'skirts' (no legs) at the bottom/base.

Is that easier or harder to produce in sofubi? The way its sealed at the base with no hollow opening, like many finger puppet style toys have, makes it look like it would be harder to make?

The body is hollow, so i assume the flat base is added after its been pulled out of the mold?
