Love the clear orange gold glitter. Overkill with the orange background?


I wonder if anyone took Rich's offer for it to be unpainted?

 

I just decided to paint them all.

Not overkill at all, Chimply. That's a great fuckin' shot. I don't know if there's some technical terminology for it, but the orange background somehow highlights the orange glitter vinyl even greater. It looks like the bending curve on the orange sheet is creating a sort of gradient contrast between the lighter and darker orange.

 

Great shot chimply.kaiju, I think the orange background works very well with the figure.

 

yeah that colorway is so subtle yet so much going on. Ugh, never forgive myself for missing this. Great shot!!!

 

Thanks guys! Sorry to hear you missed out quentor. I had to pass on the Ollie for this SB release as I was short of cash for that guy. I am just glad I got the DX. You win some and lose some.

You know on the old forum I used to rely (obviously) too much on the "View your posts" link almost every time I visited this site because I had commented on pretty much every thread I was into, and those topics would just keep popping up and keeping my interest. As a result I totally missed the Skullbrain X thread and all of the toys. I would have loved the slimebat as well. I was around, with $$$, just not seeing it. It only hurts because it's JUST FOR SKULLBRAIN, and I am a skullbrainer. It's like being on the team but they were out of Jerseys, so I'm just wearing an orange T-Shirt trying to fit in. I try not to beat myself up over it but this one is a kick to the dick for sure.

I just used one of my photos and did some experimenting in photoshop,
but i did paint-in a lot of the texture, so . . . . kind of.

 

I like it! Big fan of Swamp-Thing and other comic swampy creatures.
