What's crazy is what did they end up getting for them if they sold them to Mandarake? Or, was it Mandarake who went to SF and bought them just to up the price? Nature of the beast I suppose... Hi Dennis!
i'd assume Mandarake has their own team scouting SF and getting all the good shit to resell... not enough wiggle room for a flipper to make money and Mandarake as well. But this is all assumption, after all.
I did, but to buy more stuff Some manda folks do attend events indeed, although the ones i know are pretty serious collectors themselves.
There was a bunch of the Medicom and Marusan SF stuff in the same batch (possibly same store) right after the event with the Kumons, I'd say it was staff buying to resell.. Assuming Mandarake have a 100% markup a flipper wouldn't make any extra $$$ from selling these items to them. I love this new batch of SF Kumons but those prices were way too much for me and friends who saw them listed.
I got one and got an email that all winners had been notified and if there are any cancelations another name will be selected. Bag will be two Kumons again this year. So stoked!
