At just over 4" long, the ¥30,000 retail price tag seems pretty steep though.

This is their best release to date. Just a fantastic toy on many levels. Is it really just 4" though? I'm guessing it has to be be a few inches longer with all the moving parts (insert dick jokes here).

It can't be, otherwise the mantis is only 1" and you would be looking at true size on your cellphone...
Main toy may be 4"though.

 

Described as 4.1" long, my guess would be that is how the toy measures across when compressed into its base. That would make the dino-saucer roughly the same size in height.

ilu ilu does amazing work/packaging/toys etc. I just wish they weren't so expensive.Those plantetary bases are great but on first glance looked like those mcdonalds transformers.
