Globby database

Does anybody recognize who painted this mini? I don't think it's a @Fig Belly

 

I think this goes here? I hope so! It’s Pajama Globby!!! My first Globby, ever, of any iteration, and I’m lovin’ it. The size, the articulated arms and waist, the pj’s. GID base vinyl and blue/yellow sprays, with a touch of green for some octo - boogies. Like anything Bwana, this is an uber cute character and the sculpt is flawless. Lookin’ forward to more versions down the road!

 

Globby has always been fukin amazin'. Very underrated. Been waiting forever to try and get the blacked headed standard size at a reasonable price.

 

@moodydoom I literally didn’t know about the standard 6” sized Globby until I got a hold of this PJ version, and came into this thread. What a goof move to have not been payin’ attention all this time!!! I’d love to see some form of a black/orange Halloween version!

 

@xSuicide Squadx the standard 'New Year' clear purple and red is one of my favourite toys ever, well worth finding. Holding out for the right paint of the pajama version. If I can snag one with a red head to match the standard and mini, I'll absolutely flip my shit.

Congrats on the new doll! These Naoya sculpts are crisp as hell, and the splatter is so apt on a mostly blank GID canvas.

 

@zindabad It’s funny ‘cause I went through the Globby tag last night on IG, and I was surprised by how many posts I saw that had me double tapped on it that I don’t recall whatsoever, including your New Year version. I do have a tendency to mindlessly ‘like’ posts without fully taking in what it is, so I gotta slow down a bit. I’m heavily on the hunt for the SDCC 2008 version, though! Best one I’ve come across so far!!!

 

Do the same search on Flckr and you will see some incredible one offs.
