Glenn was banned, for reasons already stated and which will not be rehashed. As has been said before, this decision can be permanent or not. Moderators are in direct discussion with him; which is already a privilege afforded beyond the duties of this board. The decision to impose this was not taken lightly or without review. The board has rules, whether we all agree to them or not. We are happy to have discussions here on the nature of how moderating should be handled, and we welcome dialog on suggestions for improvements, etc., but revisiting individual cases as 'exceptions' or what-have-you is not fair to all the others who adhere to the forum rules.
I don't know the details of what Glen said to the mods he pissed off, but I still say banning him was over the top. I always thought mods should be impartial and shouldn't take things personally. I'm not a mod, so i find this board a lot less fun without Glen's antics. That's just my opinion, please don't ban me.
Too late Moog!! But really, in all sincerity, we are taking this issue seriously, and my point was it is part of ongoing dialogue, involving Glenn and the team of moderators. The decision was never personal, but was taken in light of stepping outside the rules of the board. 'Antics' can be fun, and we aren't here to be opinion police in any way, but at the same time there have been rules laid out which it has to be understood will have consequences when broken.
On the flip side, I find this board a lot more palatable without his “antics” or rather less noxious.
I fear 'fun' may be an alien concept to some of our thin-skinned American cousins . . . along with sarcasm and irony!
This is me posting as a person, more than a moderator because apparently there is a separation. You act as if we aren't people. As if we have some agenda against other board members, or as if we aren't just here to talk toys. 1- Have you not read what Mods have posted on here? I think we are all very impartial to this situation. 2- You say you don't know the details, but fully take Glenn's side. 3- The only 1 pissed off is Glenn, because he was banned. Which started with him disliking 1 mod, and now disliking most of us. 4- The only 1 taking things personally is Glenn. If you want clarity and details on this ask Glenn for some screen captures of my FB conversations with him. Oh what, he could message me on FB because we were friends on there? In fact this actually shows how impartial I am.
Pat, I keep hearing this from 2 or 3 people. Send me the proof in DM and we'll sort it out. I honestly don't see it...unless it's me. Which would be kinda funny.

Is it really that easy to understand someone’s tone through texts on a message board? David is a super fair person as long as I have known him, but as he said he is also a human being not a mod bot.
@IronPaw I'm not criticising animator or any of the mods directly, and if I've given that impression I apologise. Anyway, I've realised that bumping this thread will make fuck all difference in the long run. It sounds to me like the damage has already been done.
I hope Glenn is having a great time playing tennis with his new racket and not worrying about these boards too much.
I for one think the last few months have been excellent as far as the board moderation goes. Seeing several different people being asked to stop their toxic behavior publicly and even getting officially warned made it feel like someone was paying attention and wanted this place to be better. Those actions alone seemed to be exceptionally effective in all but one instance. It's incredibly obvious none of you wanted to ban ANYBODY but you all felt as though you weren't left with any other option. Still no matter how carefully you all explain it multiple times some people just refuse to acknowledge anything you guys say and come up with their own reasons while ignoring everything else. It must really suck knowing that half the people used to get pissed at you guys for seemingly doing nothing and the other half get pissed when you do anything at all. Believe me though when I say some of us do recognize the effort and we realize there is literally no upside for you at all besides spending countless hours trying to make this place a little better. The fact some people for whatever stupid reason see you as some authority figures to rebel against is just fucking stupid. You are members of this place who care enough to try and help it survive instead of letting it fester itself into another version of 4chan or some reddit subforum where people go to fucking die. You all get shit you don't deserve from people who should know better and it's really unfair. For what its worth I think seeing more people posting more toy stuff lately and discussing things like actual human beings is pretty damn nice, even without all the "antics".
