Get a LIFE GOBOCON! Mini fig series

The last project of the year, I was looking for something to really inspire a really cool series of mini figs.
I didn't have to go too far into my own DARK left field.
Highly inspired by this very rare Rockbat mini set from the collection of Warren Schwartz. I think this is the only one I have ever seen.
The packaging is insane. Looks like hell is breaking loose in the old box.
Not just obscure, but something is going wrong in there.

Rare is an understatement. It's amazing.



I though it would be cool to combine 70's Tokusatsu shows such as ROBOCON and ROCKBAT with something part "Terminator" and part early "Outer Limits" combined with these cute Tokusatsu shows, including "off" elements from across time, and this is what came out of the sculpt session.
A total love letter to Tokustatsu of Japan and the bottomless pit that got me here in the first place.
The island they inhabit, is surely nuts. I can't wait to come up with more.

L: "Gobocon", zombie robot from the future who requires Goboroot for fuel. R: "Cat girl" moderator of all times.


L: "Chuto", post "great war" friend and confidant of Gobocon, from further in the future than Gobocon! R: "Machinegun Ghost" gangster monster from the earth past.


I'm pretty excited for these. Should be available early 2014.

On the same boat as kroker & Moog, Machinegun Ghost is amazing, i'd love to c a full size version of it

Love 'em all, but that Gobocon robot rules ! Can't wait to see the paint apps on that center eye and spiked helmet

It looks like your amazing mini figs are drawn straight from the pages of a retro-futuristic novel, Paul. And that gangster monster is already a classic! Love!

I'm thinking these will be available in two sets, so people can trade or whatever.

There's other surprises in the pipes I haven't shared.

I would love to do a village, or base set, (or maybe even a contest for a character design in series 2!) we will see!
