Gargamel Lucky Bag 2017

So it is almost that time of the year. I might not be able to get a bag this time but always excited to see the goods. I wonder if there will be a new sculpt or maybe bring back some old toys like fight figures (wishful thinking). I think it's pretty safe to say the bags will have 2 standard size, 1 middle size, 1 pocket size and 2 micro figures as they have in the past years.

 

I'm torn because I have a Garudan, Deathra, and Zagoran... and I only collect one of each sculpt.
Unless a painted Miborah is in this bag, I'm worried I might end up without any standard-sized keepers.
(I did have a Mecha Zag, but it just ended up looking odd with my collection as the only robot, so I ended up selling for vet bill money... not sure if I would end up keeping another.)

 

The highlight of my year, can't wait!! I'm hoping to see some cyborg/mechas with guts, killer-mounted randalls, le merde, and the return of the fight figs!

I'm always looking for zodiacs! I regretfully passed on a bag last year but it looks like I may have an opportunity this time around.

 

Since my collection is just barely getting off the ground im up for whatever pops up really. All the sculpts from the 2016 lucky bag were fantastic to me.

 

Just one thread please. We don't need 4 threads on the bags.
Anyway can't wait. Probably about 2 months away if memory serves. (mid january)

It's crazy early to be discussing lucky bags, but whatever gets people posting.

Not sure what I would like to see most. Maybe some throw backs like the Bakobas? I wouldn't mind seeing a Conifas again, they've all but disappeared in both general release and custom form.

 

The hype-train left the station early this year.. You can speculate all you want but my fear is that a thread like this will only make the bags harder to buy when the time comes.

 

You can always pre-order. I know a couple of store have done this in the past, and a couple stores having bags sit for a couple of weeks after release in the past couple of years.

 

I still need to find a zodiac monkey for my year. I never went for the bags, but I just might have the nerve this time.

You can pre-order from a store right now, but I'll just hang on to that info to keep things on the down low, and not cause any more hype.

 

Why/how?

 

I'm sure some people who don't know any better check these boards to see what's the next big thing/next opportunity to make some money. To us, Gargamel have paid their dues and we appreciate their sculpts/paint/characters.. a thread like this anticipating a release two months away could be an alert for some people who saw listing on ebay, decided to google "sofubi forum" and here they are. Maybe I'm being selfish but I especially hate seeing Gargamel stuff on ebay the day after release.. but hey it's all part of the game blah blah blah

 

Ehh, I see the Lucky Bags as just a January thing, and January is a month away. Also with all the low-priced Gargamel stuff on the Bay that just isn't moving, I think most future flippers would think twice.

 

So a thread like this could be seen as a sounder for what people are hyped for? OK.

I've seen pre-orders for them on 2 sites.

 

And I've already preordered, because I'm weak and wouldn't mind a Conifas/Miborah/Mecha Miborah.
