To me, the Bakobas was perfected with that simple blue release from long ago. The one that can with a blue painted mini done up in the same style. Kind of a "mom and baby" set.
You bet your ass it is! I can clearly see the marbling on my phone when I enlarge the image. Looks awesome to!
I'm not sure why that is, I think they're pretty fantastic. I'd be curious to hear what people don't like about them. Conifas I can understand why people wouldn't be that into, I didn't like it really until last year (or was it '15) LB.
It kind of has an elephant shape head and features (big ears and long nose). I'm not sure, but it could be a reason that that's why it's not very popular.
thats why im not into them, because of the elephant head shape, same thing with the garudan (not a fan of the bird head). No hate on the figures themselves as they are great. its just a personal thing
Reminds me of a triceratops. I appreciate the way it takes on a completely different personality depending on the vinyl color and paint app.
For me bako is just not edgy enough. I want something real edgy, you know like when lady Gaga performed with Metallica at the Grammys and all those metal heads were moshing around them. EDGY!
I love the Bako! The only reason I'm not scooping up one of these resales is because I'm broke as hell.
As far as Gargamel figures, I'm guessing Zagoran came first and then the Bako head scuplt was released after? Like how the Garudon wings and head were released a couple years ago. Im just not a fan of the head sculpt, same with the Garudon. I feel like the zagoran/miborah heads work better on that body, same with Deathra. His head and wings, to me, look better than the Garudon.
2017 LB Mecha Zag and 2016 LB Mecha Zag look stunning together for somewhat common Mechas versus the more rare ones. The unpainted Zag is close enough for Zodiac for me. Obviously not the same in hand, but close enough for me. Just surprised there was no unpainted black Bakobaso.
you all are crazy... the bako was the highlight of the bags! and my favorite bako of all is the painted green with painted glow guts. truely magical.
Thank you @toothaction ! I really wanted to see the sparkles in the vinyl, it's like frosted lipstick (ladies will understand what i mean . So are there 2 colors of the rooster? One looks matte and blue, the one you posted in detail, looks greenish blue with frost tones.
Odds are not, as I believe the lot of the runs have been cast in the same color. Trick o' the cameras, no doubt. Familiar with this thread, Grace? Here's a pic of the whole gang lifted from it:
No just one. It is a very difficult color to photograph. It can look matte in natural light but with artificial light it has a slight shine and sparkle.
