Fuck these greedy hype collectors who only buy shit as a status symbol. @Rich has only done 1 run of a Leviathan and a small show-only micro run and he would NEVER sell 2 of the same toy to the same person. Shit like this is a slap in the face to the maker whose rules they aren't respecting as well as fellow fans. I've been hunting for a Leviathan for years now and it'll always be hard as fuck to score, but even worse when dipshits like this exist. I'm not naive enough to think this is why I don't have one, but it just sucks knowing this is in the hands of a fan that love the scarcity more than the art.

A buddy toy maker was telling me some artists he knows have a blacklist of people to not sell to. I only hope guys like this are added to it.

 

So dumb and pointless. Why would you want to spend or trade hard earned money or toys for a double.

And as for this particular conversation, I’m not thrilled he has two. But I’m even more bothered by the fact that two of the five sold to him. They were in my shop because these weren’t sold on line. This buyer is only doing what many other have done before him, spend money if they have it. It’s up the the collectors to not have a price and collect because they honestly want the art.

I think one even more upset I didn’t get to keep one for myself.

Upsets me more because it really wasn’t ransoms i don’t know who got them. I get you might need money in the day and age, and if that’s what you choose to do to make the money fine, but don’t show back up at DV and act all buddy buddy, like you aren’t there for the next months mortgage/rent. Not saying they showed back up, as who knows who’s it is. I tried to keep track of them for a while, then figured ehh it’s not worth it. I know where my berserker is, and is staying.
