Bummed that the Punk Drunkers stuff went so fast. Would’ve loved a figure, but even getting a pin would’ve been nice. All gone though.

No. 7am. Line was split a nd most people went to the main hall. So 10 approximately into hall c. Not worth lining up the night before if lines allready exist by people who are already inside.
the new maba zombies style creepies come with their plugs, so you can fill it with slime and squeeze it for the ooze out of their mouth, nostrils, head, eyes, where ever you cut. But you must cut only one place. the two eyeball popping mabas did not work so well because they had two holes for the air to get out. View this post on Instagram just like the original 80s mabas! I talked with violence toy at dcon and they told me they have big plans for this toy line. they will even have the vomit-able innards that come out with the slime! the cop will have a rotten doughnut, the tower robot will have his minion... etc. and it does not end there. the painted release will have the 80s style packaging! and they also have many licensed maba style creepies planned. such as the puppet masters that was sold at dcon. I absolutely loved maba zombies when I was a kid, and maba is what brought me to dcon and skullbrain. I am so glad maba fans are making these toys!
Was third in line for hall C (wife was at least) still nothing for her to get at Sour Lemon, guessing press and ‘vendors’ got everything. Don’t know why they even allow that since they aren’t the ones outside waiting to to buy. Also don’t think they had a buyers limit, plenty of folks had more than one... annoying.
sorry I could not get any photos of the gargamel booth. after the punk drunkers, I went over to buy and nude oni and it was all sold out. but the booth next to it had so many people that I could barely see what booth it was. It was the gargamel booth and people were lined up to pick their raffle numbers. there was a LOT of colorful beautiful figures in the booth. but I could not take any pictures because of the huge line. when I came back later the table was empty....
I was like 10th in line for the hall B, and C entrance. I bought two figures from hall B and rushed over to the sour lemon. this was the line in front of me. when I was halfway to the booth. people were comming back saying they only had the robot left. All the astronauts, spacemen were sold out. that's when I rushed to the punk drunkers booth. expecting no line since they said do not line up before 10:15. the group of flippers had vendor badges. and it is definitely lame that the booths sell to vendors I left dcon feeling defeated and like i wasted my time but im grateful with my small purchases

Yeah, big group of flippers up front, not surprised they are being hocked on yahoo japan. I mean third in the door should get you something other than empty hands. Oh well, maybe they will rethink the policy.
the crowd of ladies and old men KILLED ME in the punk drunkers and itokin line, but I picked #94 in the instinctoy line today. all my hopes were smashed! The biggest reason I come to DCON is because of the king korpse. but for some reason all the old ladies, young ladies, old men, young men, asian men, flippers were buying up MOLLY instead of king korpse. eventhough I was 94th in line, I was able to get a king korpse! I am so glad that instinct toy did not do a separate lottery for the king korpses. If that happened all the old ladies, young ladies, old men, young men, asian men, flippers would of had come again. Thank you MOLLY!
it did seem like the itokin park release was under siege, in a way i've never seen before. congrats to everyone here who managed to score!
Thanks for coming out to The Sour Lemon booth. I know the lines were a bit frustrating but hopefully most of the attendees were able to get something they wanted. It was great seeing many of you.
Umm, judging by the responses here, pretty sure only vendors got what they wanted first thing Saturday
DCON is done, I am toast. I had a smashing good time. Got to talk to a bunch of boardies more than ever before (I was talking to the funniest man on SB, Michael Beverage, and my number got called for PK! Sorry to have dropped the conversation so quickly!), muled and helped out a bunch of good people on here and on IG, got tons of amazing toys, had some good conversations with artists and creators, in particular Trutek and Justin Ishmael. Apparently, DCON is going to be a 3 day event in Anaheim next year. Many vendors are concerned, and it could mess up a good thing; maybe not. The flipper situation is way out of control; I was outgunned at just about every lottery and hyped release. I still got tons of AMAZING toys, though... so really, it's more of a comment than a complaint. I got more great stuff than I could have planned for.
Thanks for the information on the ones to come. These are some of the toys I wish I'd known about beforehand. Congratulations to everyone who was able to attend designercon and fun it up with toys, trolls, and trollops! I've been enjoying all of the pictures yall took. Thanks for taking the time to do so!
I had many conversations about this with both vendors and attendees. Most seemed concerned for various reasons. 1- It may become another sdcc. 2- The amount of time taken off work, as most vendors and attendees have day jobs. 3- Spreading releases across 3 days means less toys for each lottery. 4- Friday LA area traffic sucks. 5- Potential increased cost for everyone(booths, hotels, parking, 3 day pass). That said, about half the people I know at dcon also go to Disneyland, now they could go everyday. Also it's a lot bigger venue, so all vendors could get a booth if they wanted 1. I'd like to see Friday be more of a preview night type of thing, maybe VIP exclusive. Give vendors time to set up Thursday night and all day Friday, and attendees all day Friday to pick up their badges. Hopefully someone out there is listening to feedback and concerns and it all helps to make the transition smooth.
