  1. The Moog

    The Moog Die-Cast

A newspaper advert from 1964. It always amuses me that some people try to sell paper adverts on ebay,
but then include a fairly high-res scan in the listing.

    Some big name toy makers!
Other than Topo Gigio, my favourites are 'Floppy Dangle Animal Assortment'
and 'Reclining Lion - Whimsical Expression'

    The Moog Die-Cast

Combex Creations Ltd - 11" high Vintage squeaker.

White vinyl is very unusual for a larger Combex toy, and the paint is a bit sharper on this fella as well.
The colour blue in his eyes is a nice touch.

    1950's / 60's
    Made in England

Ahah... Yeah I was surprised to come across that too, haha. Don't think I'd ever seen him before I came to Japan.

@The Moog love that Hoteles Silken toy! Apparently it doubles as a soap dish too which is a nice touch

Found this one at the same antique flea market as Buzby above. No makers marks, 8" high.
Its a squeaker converted into a night-light. This one has that nice old vinyl smell . . .

Not vinyl but wood. I had to buy this in a lot with my Ledraplastic Donald.
Its an interesting piece and i think its very old. The only similar examples i can find are supposedly 40's or even late 30's.
The theory is they are sculpts done by sailors with time on their hands . . .

    12.5" high. Very heavy.

I couldn't believe my luck when nobody bid against me!

4.5" high. Squirrel with scarf. 1950's.
