Andy...I was pretty pleased with the one-off Nougaki I got in my mixbox...until I just looked at that polka-dot version...I'd trade and pay big for that puppy...good score, you lucky sob...

Jeez, that HP is like some insane Bakurasu that spent too much time in Miami in the 80's... seems totally atypical for neo-kaiju but 100% amazing! The pics from the fest never did anything for me but seeing aftermarket pics (especially these) really shows what a crazy piece this is.

Any idea where the Ankoron is from? One of the 2008 lucky bag editions of 5, maybe?

 

The Nougaki was a Rotofugi exclusive and was also available unpainted. The only difference is that in your picture, it looks like the jewel/third eye is missing. Is it?

 

yes, that Ankoron IS from the lucky bag 08 series and is an edition of 4...comes with a #/4 card

 

Thanks for the Ankoron confirm. I bought it in Osaka, but it was loose with no bag or card. Are all 4 slightly different? I think Stealthtank has one, but the paint scheme is a bit different.

Antknee - The Nougaki is different from the Rotofugi exclusive. They're both orange based bodies, but the paint app is different. I'm thinking maybe a Pachisami give away??

There were only four (one for you and I and maxaltoman and hiro san).

That's cool. I saw Hiro at Pachisami, but I don't think maxaltoman was there.

 

BTW, about that "jewelless nougaki" the figure is like that on both sides. When I got it, it was in an unopened package, meaning it originally came that way. So, kind of a mysterious release!
