The Boys by Garth Ennis is insane.

    Fables by Bill Willingham.

The Authority trade paperbacks are for the most part incredible (stuff written by Warren Ellis and Ed Brubaker). Recent The Authority series was good too (Christos Gage).

Right now, I'm in the middle of re-reading Grant Morrison's, The Invisibles. This series blows my mind out in new ways every time I read it. Other awesome Morrison titles are, Animal Man, Doom Patrol, and The Filth.

I just now finished The Impostor's Daugther by Laurie Sandell.
She is a Glamour mag writer, but made a rigth choice of turning her life stories
abour her father in graphic novel form.

And with that, I'll by back in David Mazzucchelli' Asterios Polyp, with is Amafuckin'zing !

Godland i sooo good. great throwback to old-school super-heroes. i have the first 21 issues, but haven't kept up on it so i don't now how many more are out. I read the first part of the Savage Dragon/TMNT crossover, but could never find the second issue (and don't want to order it online for around $0.50 with like $6 shipping). the nice thing about savage dragon is how epic it is and fun at the same time, yet back issues are super cheap!

I finally got my hands on TMNT Collected Book Volume 1. It's 600+ pages of the original 80's black and white awesomeness.

that series was great. i love the lunas brothers stuff. it's pretty basic art style, but all around fun, and totally crazy. have you read Ultra yet?

    In no order

Fables (Really like the dude they got to replace JJ - didn't think he'd be able to hold a candle to the previous covers)
Kick-Ass (Issue 7 finally!, but WTF was w/ the "Beach City Cooking" add w/ the giant fried crab!?!?!
Also casting a weasel like NC TOTALLY makes sense now even if he isn't in on the joke)
    BPRD
    HellBoy
    The Boys
    Witchfinder
    SweetTooth

Sweet Tooth really looks promising. I love new books that can grab me from the first issue.
I can also recommend Wednesday Comics the new ( issue #12 today) newspaper style serialized weekly with about a dozen different one page strips.

  20. Joe

    Joe Die-Cast

Caught up w/ Walking Dead and man!
Some pretty wicked stuff going on.
Can't wait to see how it ends w/ the current story.

    Anyone read House of Mystery?

    And Kick-Ass 7 was just  :!:

  22. i've been tempted by the new house of mystery.
    is it any good?

  23. Joe

    Joe Die-Cast

    Started it today.
It reminded me a bit of The Sandman, especially book VIII where they sit around the tavern telling stories.
    There's also Cain and Abel.

No Hero by Warren Ellis just completed....it was a serialized graphic novel with an incredible anti-hero story. I totally reccomend this title. (and yes, the Goon does rule.)
