Fig lab fives are rad arent they? One set painted by Goto-san (from a run) and one in the archetypal fig-lab colorway painted by Rampage and Datadub afaik.

I just updated the site with important payment info: http://clearwithguts.com/updatesnews/20 ... lease-read

here it is for those who hate to leave skullbrain:

To make it fair to everyone and also to allow everyone to get a chance to see the work, sales will start at 5PM. For any piece that more than 1 person is interested in there will be a fair way to determine who gets it. Likely something as simple as a lottery. (But what I REALLY wanted to do was make folk play twister for a chance to win. Sadly I couldn't find my twister game.)

Multiples will be cash and carry. One-offs and last items from runs will be available for pick up after the show.

Remember - cash only. I will try to make paypal available - but no guarantees. Remember - this isn't a pro gallery, its non-profit - and I'm not setup to take credit cards...lol...

Washable chalk + circles on the driveway = completing the yard sale/art show experience. :)

Holy crap. That Dengar piece just blew my mind. I know it is not of the stuff that the crowd here usually focuses on, but damn, I love it. Holy. Crap.

Other than the fact that my lovely face was not present it looks like it was a fun evening for all in attendance. Thanks Carl for adding another jewel in LA's toy art scene. Very classy of everyone that came through with work for the show. Bravo!

Thanks Connell! Thanks for teh great pics Adam. And thanks to all the artists and everyone who made time to stop by! Stuff was coming in right up to the end. A whole bunch of Kumons arrived a couple of hours before show time - and a new display space was constructed on the fly.

Wow. I'm exhausted. I have a new found respect for folk who put on a show. Luckily Ian Keasler did a fantastic job helping me set up and Dave Stowe and Julie B did the amazing last minute Pretty in Plastic installation, but it was still a momentous effort. What I didn't anticipate was all the accounting stuff id have to do after working out who owes what, what I owe artists etc.... All good tho...just might take me a few days.

So the idea of showing art in a garage worked out better than I could ever have imagined. It looked like a real gallery. Obviously u can judge for your self, but I got a ton of comments saying similar. Turn out was great - at one point the garage was filled and we had more people outside.

I'll get some pics up - but some great pics from Dokuro king Adam are here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=44462&start=25

and amazing coverage on Action Figure times (courtesy of Eric Frank) is here: http://aftimes.com/2012/12/toygodd-trav ... rage-sale/

I posted a partial list of items left here http://clearwithguts.com/updatesnews/ for anyone interested. I didnt intend to ship, but Ive had a few inquiries - so please bear with me.

    Cheers!

Congrats Carl, looks like a lot of fun! Were the Coop pieces original inked drawings or prints? (and what does a Coop run ya at a garage sale? )
Love the last one. Also Rottweiler Herpes, Baby Huey & Finger 5s all awesome. Wish I wasn't such a pooron, I'd grab em all. :(
Muton shirt FTW. mine faded mostly so it's pretty much retired away in the archive. Hopefully we can send some slave stuff for the next one!

Love yer avatar Kroker - and yes they were OG Coop pieces - and yes, would love Slave One gear if Garage Sale II happens :)

I wanted to say a few thanks:
To everyone who showed up - I think we had 60 -70 folk all told - I really appreciate you supporting and coming out on an uncharacteristic rainy day!
To all the artists and toy makers who brought or sent their stuff in - would have been nothing without you. Im proud to know so many super talented folk.
To Mitchell, Ian, Julie, Dave and Adam for helping me out on the day and before.
And thanks to all the well wishers.

I think this went super well out of the gate - well enough to definitely want to do it again - I just have to figure out my ongoing storage costs incurred by keeping the space empty for shows. That one is an expensive conundrum. But please, anyone interested in being part of another Garage Sale - let me know.

I added a huge gallery of folk at the show, lottery winners, art and some hanging out the day after. Check em out here: http://clearwithguts.com/12-1-12-pics-of-the-day/

    Cheers!
