It was super awesome being able to grab something from Zollmen at Dcon. I was already fan-boying pretty hard just from entering for and winning a brand new Galtan. But then the guy from Fairy Cookies asked if he could take a pic of my Galtan tattoo because the guy from Zollmen heard about it and wanted to see! Haha, I was totally geeking out!
The question might have been asked here before, but what's the story with Mad Baron's omake cube? I saw a comment by Zectron on IG saying it actually represented a building in Japan that kaiju and tokusatsu artists worked in, long since demolished. But I tried to dig up the building and all I could find was the Nakagin Capsule Tower, which isn't a cube though the windows are circular, and is still standing, albeit in a weird state of limbo. The ongoing story of that tower, its planned demolition and the campaigns to renovate it are actually pretty interesting though, if anyone is into architecture.
dunno if it is based on a real building but the omake is the building that Alien Spell destroys in Ultraseven , an episode that I think was banned because of a controversy surrounding its nuclear war theme.
Asked on Facebook and it was a real building, the Hundred Eye building. Apparently it's featured in many shows from the 60s and 70s, to the point where almost every superhero series had it in at least one episode. Not sure about where it was or the date of its demolition, though. Still looking. If either of the people who helped me with this info are on here, thank you so much, and speak up if you see this! I'd normally shout out for the help, but don't know if they want their real names on a niche forum full of weirdos
It's a pre-order and most people won't pay the price anyway so I doubt sharing info will flood the market.. here's the link - http://omocp.com/
Sales is a lottery for a pre-order that will be shipped out in July. It has not been made yet for immediate shipping if you win the lottery.
