Wow, really incredible. I have literally never seen these Troopers. This is just one of many things I love about collecting -- New discoveries of older releases. I think I might have a new grail.
@boon velvet - Thanks for posting that here. @maxaltoman - And thanks for taking the time to take a picture of those. Pretty cool that they incorporated the head sculpt as the Mandarake logo.
Sure! It feels nice to contribute something now and then You can imagine how surprised I was to run across it directly following the conversation here. Ahh, you're right, @chimply.kaiju; the head is definitely influenced by Mandarake's logo. Tbh, the head design's not really for me, but I can appreciate it. I love every other part of them though. It's hard to pick a favorite of those four, but the clear green / black spray split is up there... Is that a Black Ox tribute? Swear I've seen that exact combo, but can't put my finger on the figure. That clear absinthe green sofvi is stunning.
Haha, I saw that too. Wow... I first thought that these really came out of nowhere with a Boom. Though chances are that eBay post is from @ledmirageb4 after stopping by in an attempt to get interests up.
A real stunner, congrats again Archam. The Ultra is such a unique take on him, and the entire diorama concept is just fantastic. Toygraph did such a phenomenal job bringing this to reality. Everything about it is so wonderful and fun. One of my treasured pieces, and if only they weren't so hard to track down [affordably] these days, I would love to adopt the standard/solid version as well.
@ultrakaiju Yes that's a fantastic piece and the standard version is great too (even if I prefer the clear blue namegon/diorama). Such a shame there no more makers making dioramas.
Very lovely, Robert. A great pickup, I simply adore these diorama sets. It is as close as I have gotten thus far to my dream of sofubi/kaiju playsets, and I am ever so thankful that they exist (even if I want more of them).
Thank you, Steve! This is my first Toygraph, and I couldn't be happier! Ultimately, I'd love to eventually own an 8" GID Gamera! But I've yet to find one available in the wild. But I'd imagine I'll have to stack quite a few pennies before one becomes available!
The 8 inch is my favorite Gamera sculpt(close 2nd is modern toys). I love the pastel colors with a satin finish plus the sculpt is nice and chunky. Hope you find 1. There's also a mini glow diorama set with a different, closed mouth, head on gamera.
@animator The GID set just left YAJ for a pretty reasonable price, but I just missed it. I'm sure another will come up! There actually is an 8" Gamera on Mandarake, but it's almost $400.
@xSuicide Squadx - Great little pick up on the Gamera. Saw this on Flickr today. Such a great fun shot. Kudos! 10, Turn 3 Righ, Gravel, Care Rocks Outside! by ♥Joe0923, on Flickr
Thank you, @chimply.kaiju! Can't wait to come across more! That photo is so awesome!!! Totally reminds me of Mario Kart!
@chimply.kaiju - That is such a great photo. I love it. Kanegon is eating dust way back there though!
Nothing found in the members list. Not by that name, anyway. And, yes, that is a great pic. I had no idea there were that many. Who's the guy in front? Don't recognize him. He must be in the lead 'cause he's the only one with a steering wheel
