^ You've infected my brain, Chris - I caught myself thinking about you thinking about a certain character meeting her doom towards the end there. Man, that was a solid hour of fan service. Good soap.
Show's geography is fucked. Wouldn't have been an issue if not for Tyrion somehow off to the side watching the battle. Also stupid if Jamie survives, which he will. Plate armoured knights drown in three feet of water. Total bullshit if he escspes the abyss he was sinking down into.
Also he was charging with his horse on the edge of this lake then he's suddenly in 40 feet of water after being knocked over? Where? To the middle of the lake?
it's a tv show and needs to suspend disbelief a bit at times. last nights episode was the best one of every season to me. great pacing, action and left me wanting more. anyone who disagrees is wrong.
Good God! Ok... so the only way I can see Jamie surviving is if Tyrion lets him go to return the favor..
Oh it was a great episode I just thought it was funny he was suddenly in 40 ft of water thats all. So I don't think the Kingslayer is dead. I know he should be but I really do think he's going to re-enact his role as Kingslayer, only this time Queenslayer at the end. Cersei is going to have Westeros on the ropes somehow and he'll have to step up and do it again. Then they'll address white walkers united and happy ending time- new era in Westeros. That's how I think this show will end. It's just a mtter who will live to see that end.
Haha, and the way Bronn threw that knife kinda underarm whilst on horseback, and it just missed the other rider. Then the camera pulled back and they are bloody miles away from each other . . . I loved Arya sparring with Brienne especially, that made the episode for me. Glad to see some solid Dragon action, too.
Yeah Arya doing water dancing is something I've been wanting to see since the episode in season 1 where she was introduced to her swordmaster. It was great.
I really can't stand Little Finger, AKA The Show's Pro Troll. He just sucks. Also such a slimy dude. Sansa is like just 18 and he is on that like stink on shit after being the same to her mom. I hope Arya has him on that list. I just see him corrupting Sansa and starting shit in the North.
Is this true or are you blowing smoke up my butt? I don't like things by my butt and I really dont like Little Finger. So if this is true, yay!!!! If you are joshin me then boo to you sir.
However it happens his death has strong potential to be the show's most gratifying. Spoiler Yes even beating Joffrey & Ramsey's (whose I wish had been more graphic) *tagged for @topher (and anyone else extremely late to the partay). Also, WTF happened to the spoiler button in SB 2.0? Had to go relearn how to insert one :/
Totally disagree. Littlefinger, while being a dangerous weasel, isn't nearly as wretched as: Joffrey Visarys Walder Frey Ramsey That's the order of my most gratifying deaths. We'll see how the show plays out, but I doubt Baelish even takes the 5th spot - Cercei has the inside track on that spot ATM. Baelish is perhaps the show's most interesting character right now - I can see possible story lines for nearly everyone else, but Baelish is a complete wild card. (I almost hope that he wins the iron throne through attrition!) He's one of the few that knows how the game is played, and is quite good at playing it. He's a creep, has no loyalty except to himself (smart!), and has had a hand in the death and misery of others - but never without reason, and more often than not to those who are equally treacherous and cruel. I can't wait to find out what his big moment will be!
Joffrey and Walder for me have been the most satisfying deaths so far. Both complete scumbags, both excellent ways of getting killed off. Ramsay's death felt lacking. It was fitting I guess, sure, but after all he had done to Greyjoy/Reek and just his general attitude and way of life made me want to just crunch his stupid face in with my boots every chance I got. His death was way too easy. I, personally, am a big fan of Littlefinger. I totally understand where everyone's hatred for him is coming from and he's been a total smirking weasel in this season so far...so yes, I get it....but I just love his scenes. He's so manipulative it's great!
I actually didn't hate Ramsay. His dark, sadistic humor was so much more fun than Joffrey's pschopathy or Visarys' egomania. Ramsay was essentially Alex from A Clockwork Orange. The fact that most of his sadism was played out against Theon made it that much easier to "forgive" - yes, it was brutal, and while no one deserves to be brutalized, Theon kinda did. Now that I'm actually putting vague thoughts into words, I'd scratch Ramsay from my list and replace him with Lysa Arynn. And there are other, more minor characters like the Gold Cloak who Arya killed when she was training with the Faceless Men. Ramsay was a shit, but I was never waiting and hoping for his death like I did with Joffrey and Visarys.
I'm halfway through season 2 and have gotten great at dodging info / spoilers, they're everywhere! I'll enjoy going back through this thread when I'm caught up.
