I was just messing around with my camera the other day figuring out the hows and whys of manual control (and discovered back buton focus!) but for some reason this pic has blown up on flickr (by my standards as I'm no great photographer and usually only toy collectors look at my photos):


I mean well beyond the rest from that set. I was like 970 views in 3 days WTF? 5 minutes later I hit refresh and it had 53 more views and past 1000. And not from toy collectors and SB members either. Was this posted somewhere else or on a flickr feed? I think it's a cool group but it's only a tiny portion of the mass herd- in storage

 

I've had the same thing happen, years ago, and I could never figure out why. I'm guessing it did get featured somehow / somewhere.

On another note -- Awesome scores lately! Not a stinker in the whole damn bunch.

I had something similar happen on Reddit when I posted a cute pic of my Husky in the /r/aww subreddit. He got over 5000 likes. I was telling a friend over the weekend about how my pup made the front page of Reddit and went to show him the image, there are now 13000 LIKES. (He was only halfway there to making it into the top 5 for 2015.. lol)

If you have the 'show more stats' option, click that. It will sometimes give you an idea where all the extra clicks are coming from.
Its most likely been linked to a blog / tumblr page or has appeared in explore or something . . . .

Thanks man! Yeah I love it, was hoping the weather would cooperate and I could practice night time long exposures before heading to NYC this weekend but alas its rained for over a week here.

I have free flickr (not paying for it!) and 'show more stats' is only a flickr 'pro' option.

Haha, same for me. First Yamomark full size figure i bought and the snail was a big reason.
