Ooh, the new complete lineup of TF/Phantom Corps fellas. Is it wrong of me that I want the entire set? source: OMB blog post And please to have some rocks 'n boulders.
Yes. So boring. It is hardly going to eat up half an entire day staring at these pics and feeling forlorn for my/our situation.
^ Yes. My favourite part of these - aside from their innate awesomeness of course - is how he has opted for classic Bullmark colours on these micros, ol' Z included. It really makes them that much better, in my opinion, and fulfills a longtime want. being in GID is a sheer delightful bonus. I really hope we can somehow get some hookups for these sets outside of Japan.
Oh wow! I didn't even think of the original Bullmark GID Zazahn but you are exactly right! Hookup outside of Japan? Yeah that's wishful thinking these days.
Yep, as well as Zazahn, the Gorbagos with his spotted coat really has me especially excited. It is really such a shame that lines on Buta toys have become thinner and thinner, while demand stayed the same or gone up, if anything, I would say. I really appreciate the efforts of Oohashi-san, and would love to throw my limited money his way with glee, but it seems so difficult to even do that these days.
Exactly the reason why I don't bother. I'm not jumping through 6,000 hoops, lists, or middlemen to get toys anymore. If I can't get it for somewhat around retail and shipped to me through an online store (pre-order or aftermarket)- its not happening. I have plenty of toys to play with. Vintage is a different story obviously, and YJA is your best bet but I'm not in a rush to go bonkers again anytime soon.
But it was so much fun when you did! I know the hit it must have taken on the wallet (and the other vinyl hobby) but boy that was such a great streak. Just sitting on the sidelines and watching all the great hero figures come in, I know I enjoyed it immensely, simply as voyeur. And I still enjoy going back and checking out your arrival pics and photos of your vintage shelves. The silver lining here though, is that I think you still got in when the prices were much more reasonable than they are now. Vintage is quickly becoming out of reach I think for people starting out.
The Zazahn is great but the painted Beacon is the real stunner of the bunch for me. That might be my favorite Buta micro, next to Dorako and Gamakujira. I love the GID base but the paints on the non-phosporescent vinyl micros are much more detailed and marvelous. I like the minimal paints on the GID micros as well though. He paints em up juuuust right. I can't imagine how long it takes OMB to get all those tiny details right, especially on the non-glowie vinyl.
Hey, no problem at all. Let's just switch Buta circumstances, and then I will happily relinquish any judgement on the matter to your position.
@toothaction Those GID Mini's are so amazing. So much awesome toys in this forum, everyone has such a great and unique collection.
Easy confusion to make @Gajiaotzu but those are pics of the (just now) recent release from Butanohana. But stay tuned for some even more delightful pics of these guys from toothaction to come, I am sure.
Far from new, and not exactly Buta, but... A sweet print with custom subs? Holy hayabusa! Praise be upon HnT. Hopefully they won't mind my having uploaded it. Gomira, Dust Monster, vacuum, commercial
^^^Thanks for sharing! If only all villains real and imagined, could be conquered by a vacuum cleaner, the world would be a much more peaceful place! Ok, Deevis, do you think you could translate the Gundam dialog on Mr. O's blog? Really curious, as to what's going on there! Plus, it would be really nice if he would make a select number of his toys available to us foreigners--perhaps by the dreaded lotto? Resale prices are so depressing!
@Mr. Humphreys @Brooklyn_Vinyl Would that I could, sillies! You'd have to ask someone that's put in the time to make sense of all those wee squiggles. Perhaps the good people that I already linked to above, the fansubbing geniuses over at Hi no Tori? Cosplay: NFS, which is 'prolly for the best.
@toothaction This Doraemon is so sick, it makes me think to Pennywise the "It" movie clown, I love it, same thing for the 2 plumbers.
Those three are way too cute. It sparks the imagination what can we do with our own micros. Its just too bad Im too much of a purist to even think of putting paint to mine.
^^^ I know! I saw that Deevis! I figured these weren't his sculpts when I saw them. I wonder if his wife was making sweet mochi pan-fried cakes, and he was waiting around, painting toys (with spare Gundam colors) while the cakes were cooking? Yup, the Doraemon is weird but cute (in a semi-creepy clown sort of way).
@Mr. Humphreys - But they are his sculpts, silly wadie! The bodies are from the two G-series toys on the left, Katana and Otoko, with a different G's head popped on top. Your conception sound more delicious, though. Silly wadie.
