Moogle, Who is this beast?! it's a foam head, right? Such a cool pickup. The proportions make me wonder if he had a body at one point; I've never seen a toy line of large foam oval shaped heads before. Hmm, a Halloween prop maybe? Whatever his reanimated origin, it's a neat score, bud.
Thanks mate, and yeah - its foam rubber. I was happy to score him. I'm pretty sure it was never attached to anything, the base of the 'neck' is very clean and has no obvious evidence of attachments or old glue marks or anything . . . . Possibly a Halloween prop but i think its more a novelty sold wherever Madball rip-offs were sold. The kind of shop that sold those big jars and clear plastic skulls full of 'slime' and 'rubber uglies' . . . .
Gorgeous man, just gorgeous. These clear toys really deserve that natural light effect. That is one shiny 'n crystal mug that I am in love with. So happy for you that you found one of these fellas.
The crowd is all a-titter. He practised every day since he was 11. He stuck to his guns and never sold out. He exposed vulnerable himself through his craft and gave it his all. Now it is all come down to this, everything is on the line. This is the day he has been waiting for. Edited, because while excited crows are a pretty interesting thing, that is a story for a whole other time
Damn, that is a pretty cool lookin' toy, and even better up close I think. I love seeing his mechanical innards, but I really like the profile of his fleshy side with the missile coming out behind his tongue, belying his sinister half. Great toy, Rei!
Thanks, I love it too! Have to admit tho, it was this wonderful blue version that finally convinced me of having to own it
I think you got the best lookin one! I've been interested in this sculpt too, but until I saw yours, @rattanicus , I hadn't come across a version that I liked enough to want to own either... How big is he, Rei? Curious as to how intricate the detail is. @ultrakaiju, I hadn't noticed his mouth rocket before. That's great!
Nice photo, David. These fellas sure do look right at home in 'jungle' surroundings. I think they might just set up a permanent temple to the elder mystics in your garden, from which to plot the eradication of those pathetic human mortals and their ignorant interfering ways.
Just came across this similar looking fella on Mandarake's instagram, Moogle : View this post on Instagram Though he has a bit more of a football shape to him than the ambiguous inbetweener that yours is.
Cool find, JP, and thanks, pH! The temple is still in the planning stages; we need to find some slaves.
Yeah! I think the blue on blue scheme is beautiful, and it goes so well with the mechanical side. He stands at just over 7 inches, almost 8 at the tip of the horn. I thought he'd be bigger for some reason, but now I'm thinking he's pretty perfect.
