awesome! How did you get the dokomen to stand? Mine always tip over. Plus thank for sharing the ace fig never seen one, really cool fig!
Thanks man. Nope, nice day in Brooklyn today (actually these were all taken in Long Island City). i just bend them a bit til they behave. The ace comes in a two pack, here is the both togethr:
The Dokuroman and Smoking Corps guys I fix by standing them in a half cup of boiling water then slightly bend the legs or feet as required. As you hold the legs in position run them under cold water. You can use a hairdryer too, but I find this is easier to actually change the shape of the vinyl.
Oh yeah...the shots...VERY COOL. Did you get those last 2 Smoking Corps guys you were waiting on the other week? What ones where you missing? There were two at Gargamel that must be protos - an all white and unpainted translucent black. Both the skull head one.
mmmm. no. i got the single red and single yellow's (called fake for some reason). they should arrive in a few days. I'll check the site for the others. thanks for the heads up.
i really dig the clear dokuroman shot. it looks like their worshipping the sun or something. thanks for sharing dude!
Great shots Drew. Considering you use consumer gear, your work is right up there with Mccarty's toy photos in my opinion.
whats "consumer gear"? sorry, no idea not sure what the opposite of consumer is. certainly not "professional", or "govt issue"?? lol
Hey Thanks man! i am still kicking around buying a 14 MP, Canon 5D. It is a pro level camera and my shots would get that much better. But you know what they say, it's not the equipment, it's the eye.......
Jackie, PFB means that my gear is a consumer camera, with only some of the bells and whistles you would find on a pro level camera. i have limited lensing choices, exposure settings, ASA speeds (films sensitivity) and a much narrower range of f-stops to work with. Hope that helps!!
