Honestly, I havent seen Turbonegro play since maybe 2001 0r 2002 and they seemed to be just going through the motions. I have not listened to their new releases.

I honestly really liked them for their musicianship and how they effectively mined
several decades of 'ROCK' to blend up a 'perfect' sort of image.

they basically interwove hundreds of existing. famous 'rock' riffs and lines into new songs, perfectly. If your a fan of 60's-70's rock theres a million ques in there that are 'funny'. At one level they are hyper-intellectual, at another, enjoyable as spectacle.

I have never seen Turbo play, so I am looking forward to this show. Plus, since my city is destroyed, lots of bands on tour are not coming here (which means I savor what I can get)

I like Turbo's schtick. They make fun of everything. Plus what Frank said.

I really like Ass Cobras and Apocalypse Dudes, after that it got really, I dunno, aware? They just sounded more and more generic, but LIVE! FUCK YEAH! They're gonna be in my neck of the woods on my wifes birthday though......she said I could go.....but I feel like I'll still get shit, I dunno.

Apocalypse Dudes is a perfect album as far as im concerned. I dont say that about many albums either, I say its a straight 10.
I saw them on the first tour back in the US with QOTSA. they were fucking so right on. But I saw them a few times after that and it was almost forgetable. I am r going to go see them in a few weeks regardless.

    I GOT ERECTION!

PS- considering what people were accusing frank of in the other post. he sure did put out the most outright homo erotic band ever,

I've seen Turbo Negro play a few times - definitely a great fun comedy rock band - but no more than that I'd say. I know that they command a fierce devotion amongst their fans (I reacll nearly getting killed when I suggested that Eagles Of Death Metal were on a par with them at a show) - but I could live without seeing them again....cos they didn't touch me emotionally - they made me laugh though and pump my fist more than once for sure!

    Great tour merch tho!
