so yesterday i decided to make the 5 hour journey up to chicago for the toy karma show. i arrived about a half hour before the show opened... was a little worried as they had already given out all the numbers for the line. i was about 40 people back, but luckily was still able to score a couple sweet pieces! no unpainted blue chaos for me though .. only 9 for sale!!!! anyways, big thanks to rotofugi and mark nagata for putting on an awesome show! the customs and paintings were all amazing!! it was cool to meet a couple skullbrainers as well, here's some pics.
Great pics wing_clipper, and congrats on the awesome scores! Looks like the trip was well worthwhile. Dang, the Blobpus set is psychotic.
Uh, how come my Kaijin Dokugan doesn't have a SOLD sticker? <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Shocked\" /> Weird. Anyway. Sweet pickups. I'm dying to see more of that Zaran guy.
when i first saw the blobpus stuff i thought it came off very "half assed" and i think they still do when you look at a single piece alone but i have to admit they look kindda cool together.
I can't come around on them myself, but that's just me. I still think that the Yolk and CNY sets were the best and most appealing even if they weren't customs.
haha, yep thats me. sorry if i didn't introduce myself glad i could score the chaos though! and the gid cronic was a nice suprise as well.
Martin's painiting was stunning in person. He doesn't paint on canvas either, its straight acrylics on plywood....absolutely beautiful...amazing colors...
i agree, martin's painting was quite awesome. hey logang, who scored the kozik 1/1 evil? i had to leave before they did that ...
