Painted Dokuwashi

I received my large lucky bag in the mail today & was very happy that I got the painted Dokuwashi. It's # 2 of 25 and initialed by Brian. Here are a couple of pic's.

Ok, so this is something that I've been wondering about for a while. All of the characters that Brian has created in the 'ghost' realm have the little jagged crack on their forehead (Ghostfighter, Frankenghost, S7 minis, Dokuwashi).

Does anyone have any insight into the reason for this feature?
