what's going on? is SDCC dead? Coming from someone who has never attended, my interest in attending died a few years back. Or to be more accurate, my interest in attending specifically for toys/sofubi died several years back. If I were to go now I'd be more interested in the general experience.

SDCC exclusives are lame... You already get to go to sunny San Diego for a week, see tons of friends, drink every night, do you have to get all the exclusives toys too? Can we just agree to move all the toy (kaiju/art/underground) stuff to Designer Con. Cheap, spacious and fun. All the toys - none of the movies and cosplay, sounds good to me!
