I did. About a year ago! Seriously though, I have been translating all the talk between Misfits Record and Hiddy for months. This is finally almost in the final stages... and I must say it looks really damn cute!
I wouldn't think of it as a regular SB figure... it obviously doesn't fit in with all their other lines - more of a one-off "cutesy" figure. For what it is, I think it's been done well.
Agreed. This is certainly a...um...departure..for SB. Maybe it's just a prototype and won't go to production.
The prototype is nearly done. It's going to be in production and released this fall. It's not something SB came up with, it's just the mascot for Osaka Popstar. There has already been a lot of interest in this figure in Japan, actually. Though, I would guess not from the regular SB fans!
I dislike this as much as I dislike Osaka Popstar, same goes for anything Balzac, but I wouldn't want to be collecting the toys of bands I don't like anyways so it's fine with me.
I hope SB does not go the same route as Toy2R & next year see there figures in Toys R Us. did steven lee design this? Looks exactly like his Snorky & Friends characters.
FIXED, lol. Seriously though I am looking forward to this figure, will go nicely with my balzac, misfits, and danzig figures. When will it be released? Seeing as I am in tokyo, if i know the date, i can make a trip on my own! to buy at retail even?!?!
My Danzig toys would leave me on their own accord if I bought this. So in that case, I can't! Not digging it though, just seems generic. It doesn't offend me, just bores me ::arrogant yawn::
I was thinking Toy2R when I saw this one too...such a cute little devil! Too bad that I like my devils mean, nasty, and full of evil instead of oozing cuteness...curve ball from Hiddy... If any of you long-time SB collectors now feel the need to purge yourself of all things Secret and Base, please let me know...
I am purging -- if you want some cheap stuff see my post in the for sale area When I first saw the image, I was like "WTF" -- why is this posted here and not on KR? Then I saw the "in association with SB" in the corner of the image... Part of me digs that -- I do love some kawaii stuff and this is kinda cute, like the hellcat from DevilRobots. But I do have to agree with everyone else that it's not really SB. I'm hoping, praying....that they don't do mini, blind-box series of these with different paint jobs. There's enough of those ruining the toy market as it is...
I'll pass on this one. Not much more to say on the matter. I'm sure there are collectors who will welcome the addition to their collections. More power to them.
