Yeah I had an old Huffy Beach Cruiser stolen before and the police never even came after I called. Stolen right behind my apartment. Police could give two shits about a bike. Sad, the bike was completely worthless, and like you my only source of transport. It wasn't like it was some old Schwinn in great condition.

When I got my new bike, even though it's a hassle, I carry it down the stairs to the basement and lock in our storage area. Bike thieves are the worst.

Added: Fuck you to (another) neighbor whose dog has been barking non-stop for the past 6 days (and nights). The old bat that owns the dog never walks it or does anything with it other than leave it in the backyard to annoy the neighbors. I called animal control, but due to budget cuts and sheer laziness they do nothing. Called councilman's office and all they can do is call the animal control folk and in case you missed it the first time, just go back up a couple of sentences. The dog is clearly unhappy or it wouldn't be barking non-stop. I can't blame him/her obviously, but WTF!?

Today is the last day of the Vapor Room (the place I work). Thanks to them they have disbanded a community of very sick people. The other day I was helping two deaf woman, and couldn't help to think were are they going to go? The street? I was helping a women in a wheel chair and she couldn't stop crying, she didn't know what she was going to do.
