Post Flinch Sculpt.
My first attempt at sculpting.

It's based on a little bird monster I've been drawing in various forms for years.
It's the hatchling version of a much larger creature...
I envisage it would be about ten metres tall.

I'm going to have a shot at casting it, mainly as a learning exercise as I haven't used resin before.
If anyone is interested I'll show you any progress on this thread.

I personally ann interested in seeing your sculpting progress; this little bird looks interesting. Although, I am not sure how well this sculpt will take top resin with the legs being so thin and all. However, a l lot of this is trial and error and practice, so keep going if you have the means, motivation and talent. :)

im sure that this is wrong, but it kind of looks as if the legs will be casted apart?

I'm curious to see where it goes. Does it have wings?

Thanks for your comments... The legs will be casted separately yes, so will the head.
The legs will be quite thin but my plan is to cast them with a wire armature inside to keep them strong.
No wings on this guy no! They can't fly, but they kick like a mule.

Yes. The rod was only there for sculpting purposes. Although I'm thinking about casting the neck rod as its actual neck. I think the threading looks quite cool! Originally it was going to be vertebrae.
