Thanks, i do get lucky sometimes!

Here's the other two i bought on the weekend. The duck is by Combex . . .
the whale and cat dont have any makers marks.

    I'm guessing they are all 1960's, but they could be 50's . . .

these were Crest toothpaste premiums from the 60s i believe. there are several different animals, they're pretty easy to find and really cool!

I regret not pulling the trigger now, of course . . . .

    Pull-along Rosebud rabbit . . . . very rare, found in a fly-tipped pile in the woods.
It was covered in 50+ years of black grime and then mud. Cleaned up very nicely.
Still squeaks like a good 'un.

Its a bit boss-eyed but that adds to the charm!

I noticed his backside is very, very similar to a Rosebud dog i already had.
Rosebud must of liked the pose and reused it . . . .

Antique store gets. The "bee guy" on the left is porcelain, but I found it irresistible as well. Hoping to find out something about it~

    ^^

Love the bird with the big hat . . . quite unusual, i've never seen anything like that one before.

And yeah, the bee guy is pretty cool. I would guess he's part of a set but then i could be wrong.
I've been tempted with porcelain cuteness before but i stick to a vinyl-only rule. I even tend to avoid
the thinner hard plastics nowadays - they are too easy to break!

Its one of the reasons i think collecting vinyl is the best . . . you can throw 'em at a wall if you want and they just bounce back.
Very hard to damage. For a clumsy (or should i say, drunk?) fool like myself, i find it too easy to drop stuff on the floor.

:) I try to stick to the same rule, mostly for aesthetic reasons, but love at first sight cannot be denied 8)

    ^^ Indeed.

Recent orange bear purchase. I bought the larger one ages ago really cheap but he has a forward lean so cannot stand on his own.
Its cool i now have a smaller friend for him that i can lean him against . . . .

    Both made by Combex.

    More boot sale finds . . .

I cant find any reference to this character in Doraemon.
    Maybe a Doraemon-esque bootleg?

    Chinese Doraemon?

This is Dolfi. I think it is the mascot of Novotel Hotels . . .

Tiny figure around 55mm high. Probably 1950's.
