Re: So I painted these. The Rangeas rocks!! I love how the horns/spikes have a "boney" quality to them! Looks like some pretty high-gloss treatment on the Skullwing too---nice-n-shiny head! Very impressive!
Re: So I painted these. Spectacular!!! Love the [expletive deleted] skull and the matte bits. That rangeas could not have come out better!
Re: So I painted these. Thanks everybody, I had fun with it. I think I got mine at a very good price, plus I just didn't think about it. I wish I could get another, but Rangeas are typically too rich for my blood. Thanks Kirkland! Your Rangeas were a big inspiration. I referenced them several times during painting. Actually, the initial colorscheme was a little too close to your shaved ice Rangeas. So I changed it. Thanks, I figured it would be ok here if I showed them butchered. That way it would offend any of the collectors.... Oh and there is a severed bloody D.unn.y head inside the Rangeas. thanks everyone again. Phil
Re: So I painted these. these are really unique. I thought there was a marbling effect on the skullwing's head until I realized that was reflection. did you put "sleeves" on his forearms? looks cool.
Re: So I painted these. yeah, he ended up really shiny after the dyeing process; his arms are the type usually found on the alien mantis figures. he's only got 3 fingers on each hand. thanks again for the nice words. phil
Me too, wish they were a little easier to come by and a little cheaper. I really had a lot of fun with it. phil
Thanks again. I was really happy with how well the pictures came out and wanted to share. And Jojo, thats awesome about your desktop! Backtrack, I'll let you know if I decide to part with it. =) phil
