info taken from: http://www.toypunks.blogspot.com/ unpainted grey is so cool, but painted one is the shit!!!
I agree on the painted one, but I think the unpainted red and white are cool. I think the same thing of most of the Boogies too, though.
i agree jeff,,the unpaints are much more appealing... i guess you could say the same about the boogies,,,but there is something ackward (in a good way) about the boogies that doesn't scream out spencer gifts...it also has something to do with the layers/accessories (masks,,clothing,,gut innards) that set them apart from spencer gifts territory.. these on the other hand,,look like classic metal/halloween sculptures...straight from 80s mall culture...i could see one turned into a bong,,just add bowl in the front & tube coming out of the head
I think you hit it on the head with that one, for me anyways. It looks chintzy. And why the cross? ah well. Can't knock them all out of the park. phil
Wow! That looks horrible! The original grey wax sculpt looks way better (still Spencer's) than the painted one. I might expect to see this in a Happy Meal from the 80s. The paint job sucks, and for a $50+ toy the sculpt is lame.
I guess with all the great stuff SB have had lately and what's coming, Hiddy's allowed a little bit of a hiccup.
The unpainteds are cool, the painted looks Spencer's gifts but the unpainted have an old halloween vibe and the fact they are done in quality vinyl is awesome. What chance do we have of these coming in at a lower price point? hahaha
the unpainted are definitly MUCH better. but im not as impressed as i thought id be. i agree, very spencers gift. almost too much detail... just not as smooth as alot of the other designs. literally and figuratively.
hmmmm, hard to tell how big it is. In these pics, they look like minis. 4 inches tall. In the pic with Hiddy, they look bigger, like 5-6 inches tall. personally I dig 'em. painted or unpainted, looks pretty cool to me.
