That is the sickest! Some great customs showing up on the scene. This ain't no SB, but you can't deny the work: http://forums.kidrobot.com/viewtopic.ph ... sc&start=0
It's made by Irisawa. Do a search for Irisawa and you should get some Hobby sites in Japan that sell it. It's kinda hard to find some in stock.
Shining example of awesome-ocity, Paul. I really like the detail on the gi, but the "skin" (chitin?) paint job is jaw-dropping. It reminds of Cell (from Dragon Ball), who was actually an insectoid monster of sorts. Super cool! Very cool on the green with silver spray, Ramos! Are there silver flecks as well, or is that the effect of the paint swipe? Monitor here not showing me resolution enough to tell. Still very nice either way. Any special paints used here? And are all those spots hand-applied or stenciled or what? Just curious...
Thanks Nostromo. I used V color, thinned and run through an airbrush. You need to thin it A LOT or it actually dries on it's way out of the brush! The spots are just fine taps from my airbrush. The coat is stencil work (ala "Baltan Sejin" in case no one noticed!) Hopefully soon, I will do a tutorial on V color to post here. I really need to put together an airbrush tutorial as well.
that would be very cool to see. i don't have much experience with airbursh (as a matter of fact, i haven't use it since my airbush class -- when i was a graphic design student -- nearly 9 years ago!) but after looking at all this great customs i'm getting motivated.
UPDATE!!!! I'll post some more pics of this guy-He just came and it looks even more incredible in person..Also he came complete w/his own spider army too!!!
