Bomberman caught my eye! What is that?

I have fond memories of playing the shit out of Saturn Bomberman back in the day. Such a great game.

sorry my mancave is located in a very secret place.
The bomberman is a large vinyl bank. here is a better photo of him. I put in the neo japan and a mini bomberman for size comparison.

Free toys for whoever wants to come down to the swamp for a week and help me unpack and display this plethora of toy fun! Don't expect to be impressed :D

You're looking at 21 bins and 2 wardrobe boxes with a few cherries on top (and I rarely collect more than 1 version of a sculpt). Yeah, it's a weeeee bit easy to get carried away when you haven't been able to see your collection for the past 6 years (sales thread here I come). Thank the almighty gods that I'm out of that guest room! I'd kiss the floor if I could reach it.

Expect a very bountiful celebratorious skullbrain holiday raffle very soon. Toot toot!

After about a year and a half in storage, i finally got my collection redisplayed in their new home! It feels soo good!
And I had the idea to make a fun gif while i arranged them. The order is alittle weird because i ended up rearranging and merging two shelves.. so that i could split my buta shelf into two for better viewing. [IMG]

I really love that case. I had no idea you were suffering like me with toys in storage! When I get set up again I'm going to be in the market for a new case because no way I'm loading up the tops of the detolfs again for dust city. Probably look for a vintage or second hand one.

Hey can I request a final set up shot (non gif)? My older eyes need a steady shot lol

Yeah I think I see a M1 Last Dinosaur in there somewhere on the 2nd to the last shelf towards the right of the pic. Wanted to see if I was right.

Sorry to ask, but who made that case, @evom? It's really nice and I'm thinking of getting one like that this coming year.

@TattooDougHardy if I recall correctly, it was custom made by an Amish man.
a figurine store in my local mall had about 15 of them made by this guy (i was told) and I asked if they ever sell them. the lady said "sometimes when they rearrange" and took my number.
she called a few months later and I jumped on it.

If I were you, I'd contact a local custom cabinet-maker, or possibly some kind of place that makes store displays.
that would probably be your best bet. searching for display cases online will just get you extremely expensive results.

Honestly they don't look that hard to build. Hardest part looks like it would be figuring out or gauging how much weight shelves could hold and setting up the proper framework accordingly. Maybe custom/ DIY is the way to go.

@evom are the glass shelves height adjustable and how do you access the inside? Is that a sliding glass door in front that opens from either side (on tracks)?

Very nice! Please post still photos of your stuffies when you have a chance, especially the butas!

Honestly, I'm still kicking myself for not buying up the metal and glass vintage cases from the Super 7 original store in Japan Town. They were AWESOME! :x:x:x

Rad collection Doug! don't see a ton of elegab together like that too often.

The shelves are on pins with rubber covers, they tighten with a hex head key. and can be adjusted. The doors roll on a track and you can open either side. theres also a lock.
My thoughts on making your own.. If you have cabinet making experience it wouldn't be too bad. If you dont, I cant see it going well... You can search 'modular aluminum framing' but finding stuff specifically for a display like this is tough. you need the framing, tracks (top/sides/bottom), rollers, shelf pins. You can order all the glass locally for any size you need so you can get that later. You'd need to build a base out of wood that would have an inner lip to hold the framing in place, as well as a lid with a lip to set on top. For me personally, I wouldn't wanna do any of that shit haha. its kind of complicated once you get into it I guess.
