I just happened to stumble across this the other day.

    http://lairofawfulcinema.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/kaiju-figure-question-what-is-rarest.html

A blog post from 2015 by a B-movie fan talking about Sofubi. They obviously know plenty about Tokusatsu stuff in general, but not so much about the toys. I found it amusing how they get some of it right but a lot of it wrong, even though the post is written in an 'educational' style. They do say at the end of the post - "These are the rarest figures that I know of. Hope I solved a mystery or maybe just answered a question. Just don't forget that I could be completely wrong about this entire thing."

    Anyway, i found it amusing. Maybe you will too . . . . :)

Funny article all around. So, according to that article the rampage bear thing is the most “rare” kaiju of all time? Good to know, I will add one to my want list immediately.

With what Bunny Boy quoted, is it possible this is satirical? There’s no way that dude could’ve written those sentences being dead serious.

If the internet has taught me anything, it's this.

Reads as very naive, but I'm wondering if the author has focused purely on classic kaiju sculpts with little interest in or awareness of the broader scene. Is the stuff they're posting about factually wrong, or just super limited in its perspective?

Depends on what ones he's talking about since there are a lot of 1offs though.

That polar bear one is pretty cool though. But I missed out on that sucker. Good thing there is plenty more to go around!

    Y'all just don't get it.

Edit: I was a few lines in, read his definition of "kaiju", and just couldn't read past that. I'll try again later, but boy oh boy...

"Pretentious" is one of those overused words that I hate to even see anymore, but if there was ever a place to use it, it be there.

I dug most of the toys shown in the pics tho. I'll give him credit for the image content he chose to feature  . We all know of the current trendy examples that could've been shown.
