Thank you guys, in the photos of the seller the bag looked more battered and my original idea was to take it out of the bag to put it on display and put the headercard inside an acrylic, but it turns out that in person the bag does not look so damaged so I am going to Choose to leave it that way. I hope to take some better photos and share them in the bootleg thread.

Wow Roger, that is such a nice Ace bootleg you picked up. I admire your decision to leave him in the package; in this instance, as you said, the packaging still looks super good for its age, and I am very happy that it turned out so nicely for you when you actually received him. The header, too, is amazing, really nice condition and I love the artwork on it. Congratulations on two great scores!

Nice! @doomboy It is part of a set of pendant dinosaurs that is innamed but are pretty much miniature Miura kaiju. Here's my header with pendants ...

Very nice pickup. I am not sure if any of the attribution has been confirmed, but like a few of the other dino and pachi kaiju, there is definitely a Miura feel about them, and I have seen these sorts of toys sometimes labelled as such.

@scobot I still can't believe you not only have the whole set, but also the header (and in amazing condition!). It's just gorgeous man.

@Alebrije - Roger, giant sofubi always looks like a fun mail day. [IMG]

@daveblog - Lots of dinos in that photo. I really like the contrast of the base vinyl and the blue sprays on the Gorosaurus. [IMG]

My recent arrival is this delightfully colorful Bullmark mid-size MechaG. The blue, teal, and gold metallic paints have some oxidation giving it a weathered look of old, painted metal. It's been a long chase to finally land one of these:

Thanks Mark, I really like that green mini Mechagodzilla, recently one came out in YJP, is it the same? As I understand this figure came in a set along with other figures, am I right?

Simply amazing grab, Mark! what a stunner. I totally see what you are saying about those colours, they give this little MG such wonderful character. The aged grey vinyl is cool and I think he has just the right amount of 'battle damage' but is so heavily painted with those lustrous tones, it works super. Love it.

Roger, you might be thinking of the UFO set, which had a mini version of the Mechagodzilla (this above is the mid-size). That version does not have articulation (well, unless you count the waist joint) and was available in the same colour scheme as the one which Mark picked up (which also comes in a more standard grey and black paint scheme). There was one of the minis, along with some others from the UFO set recently on YJA, and they commanded - as they tend to - a fairly strong price.

@Alebrije - Roger, here is the new arrival on the left compared to the mini from the UFO set:

Other than the articulation and size differences that Steve mentioned, the mid-size has the gold sprays on the face, while the mini has the red paint on the mouth.

Oh wow, both together! What a lovely duo you have there, Mark. A perfect summary, and just plain pleasure to look at. I really appreciate seeing great photos like this shared here, especially when it is toys like this I'll rarely (if ever) have the chance to see in person. I didn't notice the gold spray as much on the midi the first time you posted him, but you can clearly see there is still a nice coating there to give him that extra shine; it is a really nice touch. I don't think there are too many (or any?) versions of the MG I don't like.

Amazing group of toys you picked up there, Scott. The Marusan OG is loads of fun, I am surprised more people don't have one of these in their collection. Of course I will forever have a soft spot for a Bullmark MK, it does not matter how many times I have seen him, how many variants, or even how worn; the toy is just right up there for a deep love. Yours is in excellent condition, really great lustrous silver on that deep blue paint, and one thing that is also wonderful to see is clearly painted (e.g. uniform) eyes, something which is often, let's say 'amiss,' with these. Love those little painted keshi dudes you snagged too, looks like they might have come as a set at one point. Great stuff!! Thanks for sharing here. :)

PS - Outdoor vintage toy photos are still king
PPS - Send some of that nice weather northwards

Thanks Steve! The MechKong came from Anthony ... I went in blurting on about Giant Robo and came out with a mechanical Ape ;)

The little ones are all Bullmark .. have been trying to build that set. The set has been posted around here at some point and its very interesting I think that there are multiple versions in both construction and colourways of these guys. example the Gorbagos coloured are both very firm but the orange version is hard plastic .. I have collected them as keshi, vinyl and hard plastic which is fun and as you know sometimes YJA auctions can be cryptic

Ah of course! Leave it to Anthony to have such a gem stashed away for a rainy day sale. ;) No reason why one giant robo does not deserve another. You snagged a lovely one, and it is great to see him stay in the SB family.

Ah yes, I thought those minis looked familiar, and at first did think they were hard plastic, but was not sure. I have not seen them in person, but have a couple similar toys - more alike to the Leo figure and they're also hard plastic. I am glad you grabbed the NA little guy in the end too, he is a real delight.

The Marusan Original is King Godzilla, right? Who is the large tan kaiju in the back on the right?

That is Alien Puma [ピューマ星人] from Silver Kamen. One of the really excellent standard sized fellas from Bandai. I cpuld not find a nice quality screen grab of him, but here is this dude in some promo material (prob a menko card or the like) below:

The Silver Kamen figures are very under rated IMO

@XVivaHateX Cheers! the Kamebazooka was the last one I needed to get them all :D
