I scored a black glitter colorway and the blue swirl GID colorway. My blue one has fine purple glitter mixed in. The blue one glows so nicely. I have a UV flashlight and it makes GID toys glow like crazy. I hit up the blue with it and it's magical.. The black glitter is super cool when held up to the light, it's all swirly and smokey and glittery.. I'm super pleased with both.. Good luck to everyone who's still waiting and congrats to the lucky receivers so far!
OK, I got the black, still very nice! Oh, and thank you dear customs dumbass for just ripping through the black bag...
I was able to pick up the Redclear x Redglow x Redrame rebel ink today at the Bay Area tattoo convention... It's my first rebel ink and I'm absolutely amazed of it
did anyone who made it to the tattoo convention this weekend happen to ask Hiddy when he'll be making some proper fight figure releases? I regret not mentioning this on the board sooner. I wish I had someone give him a message for me- we need some new Skullbrains, Skullbees, Space Barabarians, Skull Mantis, Damaged Brain, Astrobrain... etc etc etc..
I would absolutely love another Skull Bee with gloves. It could be in my most hated colors, even a damn mixed part, and I'd snatch that up in an instant. I'd also jump for joy over a production Obake Dog release that isn't a blank or a TTT release.
^ Never understood the toy and the little ass crack in the back but that being said the first two versions (all black/All white) were the best.
You think? Do steel molds suffer much deteriation from pulls over time? I mean, it's soft vinyl, and warm/hot soft vinyl at that... Does it cause much stress on the molds? Can anyone with more insight on this chime in?
Incidentally, I think it'd be a real shame if we never see a proper blank marbled skullbrain and skullbee release... SB has done so many blank marbled releases and does it so well to not see its two originals done in the style SB helped to create would be too bad.
It's weird to me the more I think about it, Super7, Astrozombies/Pushead, and Balzac are all still putting out fighters, and Cure too- but just straight up secret base fighters seem more seldom these days.
Not definitive, but I have heard: quote: Common problems associated with injection molding are numerous. Poorly designed, poorly made, or deteriorating molds are a typical problem. Molds are subject to abuse in the form of heat, pressure, mechanical damage, and human clumsiness. A mold can wear rapidly because it is created from cheap materials, or because the injection pressure is set higher than it can handle. Higher quality molds are made from steel, and have corrosion resistant, stainless steel surfaces.
Now, I'm sure some of those issues are applicable to sofubi molds, but injection molding is a different beast. Injection is more so for like action figures and such. The vinyl in sofubi is poured into the mold, not injected so I would think you don't get the issues related to mold being under pressure...
You folks clamering for some good olde thyme type SB, there is a new Bagman & Skullman up for Halloween (w/ the obligatory chases hidden away in black bags).
I LOVE the Bagman, but he is still Balzac also. "olde thyme type SB" = Bee, Brain, etc... The main reason for me saying this is because we have seen Bagmen recently. Its just the SB classics that have been M.I.A.
yes see the halloween BB and skull man and looks sick, but they are gone for now, damn!!! who score? ...post pics
I'm curious to how this order will work. Do you just send an email and eventually they'll send you an invoice, or is it lottery...?
