Nice lists BloodDrinker & Moog. For anyone who digs Simon Pegg's humor definitely check Spaced. A gem of a show. Go back to where it all started.

    Spaced

Created and written by: Simon Pegg & Jessica Stevenson
    Directed by: Edgar Wright
Starring: Simon Pegg, Jessica Stevenson, Nick Frost, Mark Heap, Julia Deakin, Katy Carmichael and Aida the Dog
    Series: 2
    Episodes: 14

Plot: Tim Bisley (Pegg) and Daisy Steiner (Stevenson) are two London twenty-somethings who meet by chance in a café while both are flat-hunting. Despite barely knowing each other, they conspire to pose as a young professional couple in order to meet the requisites of an advertisement for a relatively cheap flat in the distinctive building at 23 Meteor Street,Tufnell Park, which is owned by and also houses the landlady, Marsha Klein (Julia Deakin). Also in the building is Brian Topp (Mark Heap), an eccentric conceptual artist who lives and works on his various pieces in the ground floor flat.[ep 1] Frequent visitors are Tim's best friend, Mike Watt (Nick Frost), who ends up becoming a lodger after Marsha's daughter Amber Weary "flies the nest",[ep 2] and Daisy's best friend, Twist Morgan (Katy Carmichael).

The series largely concerns the colourful and surrealistic adventures of Tim and Daisy as they navigate through life, decide on what they want to do with their lives, come to terms with affairs of the heart, and try to figure out new and largely unproductive ways of killing time. Tim and Daisy repeatedly stress that they are not a couple to everyone but Marsha, but despite (or because of) this, romantic tension develops between them, particularly during the second series.

Great lists - some classic stuff in there

That photo of Mark Heap above reminds me of another one:
'Green Wing' - you can't beat a bit of Dr Alan Statham!

So, to my knowledge, Charlie Brooker wrote the original comic strip thing that Nathan Barley is from & Chris Morris Directed that show I think, what other shows did Charlie Brooker write? Someone said IT Crowd but that's Graham Lineham right? (who is another great UK comic writer, all his shows are pretty much gold.)

Such a great tv series with so many classic horror references. And a never ending lineup of bizarre characters ... Toad collectors, Mickey and his invincible car - Maxie Power, Legz Akimbo, Papa Lazarou, Herr Lip and of course the Local shopkeepers. The movie was a terrible let down.

I've gotta make time to watch Psychoville. Anyone feeling it?

    Well, kind of...
    :D

Sorry, kroker, the only NOW now "funny" things I'm hip to are Sherlock and Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror, and both are only three episode series.

As far as older stuff not mentioned yet, I like Asylum (pre-Spaced Pegg/Wright show), Big Train (brilliant sketch with lots of now familiar faces) and Jam (fuhhhkked Chris Morris program) very much.

Life's too short, Warrick Davies, Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais, as well as a host of other famous faces, But its hit and miss, I've loved parts of it but its not as whole.

If you like Alan Partridge, the book "I Partridge, we need to talk about Alan" is well worth a read.

The Increasingly Poor Desicions of Todd Margaret just started season 2.
It's a US show technically but takes place in England & was originally intended for Channel 4 I believe & the pilot ep also aired on UK tv prior to being picked up by IFC.

just watched Black Mirror today. The 1st ep was really good the other 2 were pretty good, not as good as the 1st. I like how it's similar to Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits.
Those other 3 older shows you mentioned are great too. Big Train is where that 'Fat Handed Twat' quote a few posts up is from

never heard of Felix Dexter, that was pretty funny, def check out more of that stuff

Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan) has done an online series for Fosters recently (so have The Fast Show & Vic & Bob)
I watched the first episode last night and i thought it was pretty good . . . .

    - Alan Partridge's Mid Morning Matters -

    Episode 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvYbsKcBxGo
    Episode 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ftq74FSaWc
    Episode 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFixUuMwTlM

And so on . . . . i think there are 12 episodes at about 16 mins each
You Tube will be taking them down soon because Coogan's company are planning to show them on TV at some point.

They are still available on Rapidshare and Hotfile type links.

As for recent stuff have you tried 'Fresh Meat' ? - its supposed to be really good, i haven't got round to watching it yet but my brother and all my friends reckon its funny. It has one of the guys from The Inbetweeners in it . . . .

    'Fresh Meat' written by Peep Show creators Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, its already going down a storm with the press;
"Smart, sympathetic and pretty much adorable from the get-go" - The Guardian
"Brilliant new comedy drama" - The Sun
"It has hit written all over" - The Sunday Times
"Brilliantly observed. Excellent Cast" ***** - Heat
